About us
My name is Luis Antonio Ramos – Tony. I am a California State Licensed Electrical Contractor (852516). My responsibility is to create a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment for my clients to live and work. Not all projects have to be big, but they should always increase the productivity and quality of my client’s life. I started my training as an electrician back in early 1990’s. I was a professional actor, and I also had a day job working for a contractor. I had an epiphany on stage. I saw how stage sets were lit for balance, drama, and visual impact. Why not take and use these techniques in a home? Or, why not take the theatre to your backyard? Frank Lloyd Wright said "Form and function should be one, joined in a spiritual union." Ludwig Mies van der Rohe believed “Less is more.” Tony Ramos says “Lighting doesn't have to be complicated. It has to be functional.” There are two types of electricians. The first type of electrician is the pipe and wireman. The second type of electrician is the light designer. It sounds simple, and it is when in the hands of a professional. These are two completely different types of skill sets within the same profession. Not all electricians have the talent or are qualified to do both. I am. A dramatic change has taken place in the lighting industry. Energy consumption, light color, light intensity, LEDs, dimming controls, and home automation are important considerations. A lack of standardization and and compatibility issues with products require an experienced electrician like myself. Why not create multiple ambiances for a room or increase the usage of your backyard using LEDs, low voltage lighting, and dimmers?
