KIVA Kitchen & Bath - Irvine

My last dishwasher was 12 years old. I renovated my kitchen about 5 years ago and put a brand new Bosch dishwasher in. The finish is detaching from the surface inside currently. When I called, they tried to charged me for a service call and didn't charge after I refused. They said it was all my fault because I use cascade and have hard water. I treat it like my older dishwasher, I pre rinse and run it 1 to 2 times per day. There is no reason for the finish to come off. They won't fix it and blame me for it. They think this is totally normal wear and tear. I am working with Fariv at their corporate headquarters. She asked what I am doing wrong. I put in an entirely new kitchen with all new appliances, none of my other appliances look like this. They are all functional, the dishwasher is working but it is unsightly. In 30 years of being in real estate, I havenever seen a dishwasher like this in anyone home.

At the recommendation of Reborn Cabinet, Inc., I went to Kiva Kitchen and Bathroom in Irvine to purchase all of the bathroom accessories required in the remodeling process. I ended up not using Reborn for my remodeling effort, but since they are well known company in Orange county in southern California, I thought I couldn't go wrong with Kiva. As you can see, I ended up spending lots of money for purchasing a bathtub, faucets for shower, sinks, and bathtub, powder room cabinet, towel bars, toilet paper holders, etc. (note toilets were not included, I bought them separetely). A young Kiva employee helped me choose all the accessories and he was a great help. I compared their prices against some online vendors and found that there weren't too much differences. Since I recieved a personal help in selecting all the accesories, I thought this was a good deal.
Since I ordered accessories more than a month in advance, I thought they will be delivered to me in plenty of time. Kiva employee indicated that he didn't want to order too early since he did not want to keep them in theire storage for too long, It was fine with me as long as they deliver to me in time. As it turned out, they had trouble receiveing two parts, hand held shower head and fixed shower head from Germany. I called numerous time to find the status, but the guy kept telling me the reason for the dealay which I didn't care to hear. In my opinion had they ordered promptly the delay would not have happened. These parts eventually were delivered to me by UPS (or Fedex) about a month later than original parts delivery date. Only saving grace was the fact that remodeling project was delayed somewhat due to contractor's schedule and the late delivery of these parts did not adversely affect the project.
I was somewhat disappointed in Kiva's lack of responsiveness and professionalism. They should have kept me informed when they were having problems, instead of me having to call them to find out problems they were having. When the parts came, they didn't even have a courtesy of calling me to tell that they were coming and apologize for the delays. With the amount of money I spend with such a minimal effort on their part to sell all these parts to me, I should have received a better treatment. All parts seem to work to my satisfaction at this time, but no way to tell how long they will last. With the money I spent, I expect for them to last another 20 years which is about the limit of my life.
