We had our kitchen and bathrooms remodeled with granite counters and back splashes. It seemed a shame to put back the white plastic switch plates against the beautiful granite back splashed. I started searching the internet for other options and came across several site that sold granite switch plate, but was concerned they would not match. Then I came upon Jayne Harrison's website where I discovered this wonderful technique that she employs to perfectly faux paint and match the switch plates to the existing patterns of the granite. We spent almost $10,000 on the granite, to spend an additional $500 to make the look a crowning glory was a "no brainer". Everyone who comes to our home admires and complements the back splash.
