I lost my password through this company and in order to retrieve it, I was asked a series of security questions that could be easily obtained or located through basic internet access.

I tried to sign in to my account on-line at their <ProectMyId> website and I was instructed to re-set my user id and password.  To do so, I was asked ridiculous security questions.  I can't believe Experian is protecting my security with security questions like: "What
city did I grow up in?"  and "What is my mother's maiden name?." Anybody in Russia who wants to steal my identity can find me on Google and on ancestry.com and find out this information.  This is truly ridiculous! It's truly shocking!  The solution is so simple, it doesn't take a genius.  Ask questions instead to which my hypothetical Russian identity thief is never gonna find the answers, like, "Who was your favorite teacher?" "What is your favorite song?" "What is the last name of the first girl/boy you ever kissed?" "What is the make of the first car you ever drove?"  What's even scarier to me is that the same stupid security questions Experian uses are
also used by the U.S. Military to allow access to nuclear weapons functionality!

I had a lot of problems with them – I put them on my account to watch over my credit. To get them off of my account, it’s very difficult. After 30 phone calls and a half a days worth of work, I was finally able to remove the hold.   Their customer service has gone down the drain. It’s very difficult to contact them and get anything done. Their website is very quirky to work with to get your credit score frozen and unfrozen. There is one secret phone number Experian has to get to talk to someone, however, even that gets you transferred around between the computer generated messages.

I signed up thinking it was free, and then they credited my account. There were two charges one for $29.95 and $14.95. I wasn’t expecting a charge from them. I believe it was false advertising and I think it should have been stated more clearly.

I have called this company to fight this. It is ridiculous. People need to be aware that this is going on. I want my money back. There are several complaints with this company. It is a complete scam. BE WARNED!
