Got the $59 Heating or Cooling Diagnostic Service Call deal. Heater problem fixed

The tech came out and did a great job. It was only a matter of checking the refrigerant and the coils. He was so good that I later hired the company to fix my heater. The heater was a more complex job and required a higher skill set. The tech came out and was able to identify the problem. The problem was in the heating controller - the motherboard which controls the signal to stop and start the heater. Although I had suggested the nature of the failure, I was happy that the final price was almost exactly what was quoted (actually turned out to be a little lower).

I obtained quotes from other Angies list HVAC providers, most were double the cost. Paul was very freindly, knowledgeable. I am very appreciate of his help.

Another outfit came out to estimate repairs on my dead AC unit. They told me that troubleshooting it would cost almost as much as replacing it which they estimated at several thousands of dollars. I called AmTech for a second opinion. Not long after Paul arrived, he realized that a solder joint on the high pressure side had cracked. He repaired it pressurized the system to look for other leaks but found none. He refilled the system with 10 lbs of refrigerant and the unit came back to life. A year later, they dropped by at no charge to test the system. The repair had held and the unit was still working fine. These guys are great!

It was an excellent one. It was fairly quick. The guy came out and checked it. It wasn't quite that bad but you can tell that it was leaking. He subsequently came back and put a sealer in there. It has worked great ever since. This guy was very good. Quality was good. They were there on time.

Our air conditioner went out on one of the hottest days. I called at 9am and Paul from Amtech was here within an hour. Was a half early the next day and installed the condenser, said it might take half a day but was installed and ready to go in 2 hours. Paul and his coworker were very professional and answered all questions. There office person is very nice and honest. Cannot say enough things about this company, and the price for the air conditioner and install was great.

Larry was right on time as scheduled. He took a look at the system and quickly diagnosed what the problem was. He had no problem that I stood right there with him and asked him numerous questions. He was very honest and trustworthy and explained what needed to be repaired. He began working on the unit and completed the repairs and the unit was up and running again. Blowing cold air once again. He even took the time to clean the entire unit inside and out. Imwould highly recommend this company.

Set up appointment within 24 hours.  Arrived a few minutes early, checked the system and found the problem.  Then checked the temperature of the air coming out of the interior vents to make sure that was the real problem.  After days of being uncomfortable, the house was cool in less than an hour.

I ended up getting 7 bids for this job because the prices seemed over the top.  Once I met with Paul from Amtech I knew I was on the right track.  Instead of telling me what I would get he asked what we were looking for, this saved a lot of time and money.  These guys completed a very arduous duct removal and replacement with no drywall damage re-ran electrical and disconnect and basically did an outstanding job  at a very reasonable price i would not hesitate to recommend this company.  The house is nice and cool now.

1) They accept American Express - many HVAC companies I got estimates from did not accept Amex.
2) Paul is a dog lover and was extremely cool with my 75lb Pit Bull supervising his entire operation - and with Pit Bull supervision comes the occasional slobbery face molestation anytime you're working at face level. Thanks for being a good sport, Paul!

Went very well. Larry came out. He had all the equipment to test the pressure and the various other gadgets (e.g. capacitors). He took the time to review with me how to keep my air conditioner in good condition and identified the tell-tale signs of wear and tear.

The technician (Larry) arrived on time in the time frame that had been promised. I explained what was going on with the air conditioner. He promptly diagnosed the problem and showed me what it was. He had the part and was able to fix the problem in a timely manner. The unit was back on and cooling the house quickly. Larry was professional and courteous. I am happy with the service and would use them again as well as recommend them to others!

Paul was efficient, professional and just great. He was able to trouble shoot the problem and got us back and cool in a very short time. Various other companies we called were from a few days to a week out which was totally unacceptable.
