This time, the pest control company had come out to investigate noises coming from the attic. The technician found a tear in one of the attic screens and evidence of a bird's nest. I called Jose immediately and we set an appointment for the next morning. Surprisingly, he remembered the previous time he had come to our property.
He was early for the appointment, which was great for me. He could not access the nest from the attic, so did so from outside. Jose cleared the nest and blocked access to the attic until my handyman can come next week to replace the screen. Jose also advised me to have the handyman check all the screens and replace as needed to prevent a recurrence of this problem.
Jose is always pleasant to work with, and although I hope I have no need to hire him again, I would do so if needed.
Jose performed the work without my presence. We communicated via the phone or email. In couple occasions, I had to call him since he did not response my email inquiry. It will be nice that he can also provide evidence of his work since it is impossible for me to crawl under the deck to inspect his work.
Jose was consistently slow to return our calls, when he did come he said he was able to get two of the skunks to leave the hole and leave the property but one he could not get out so he set a trap. The next morning the trap had a possum trapped. We immediately called Jose to have it removed...he did show up until the next day (the poor animal sat in the roasting direct sun all day, finally my wife and I were so upset we actually let the possum out). When he showed up he lied about having already come and let a possum out and the one we let our was a second one...he must have thought we were really naive. During that same visit he again tried to get the 3rd skunk out, after half an hour he got a bag from his truck which he filled with a skunk carcass...I asked him what happened, he said he couldn't trap it so he had to kill it. How? By stabbing in the head with a stick...his words!!!
After all of this, three days ago the two original skunks returned and dug a new hole under our shed. Have tried 3 times to contact Jose to return and relocate the skunks...no response.
Again, don't waste your time or money with this guy!
Great service. All animals were removed humanely and promptly. Guys were friendly and professional. And brave!
I had Jose out for an inspection of the situation and he explored all areas of my roof. He advised me some roof work was needed in two areas, and as soon as that was done he would return to set the trap.
To make a long story short, the roof was fixed and the entrance boarded up. But in the meantime the raccoons had apparently moved out. The trap was on the roof for 3 days, but no raccoon was trapped.
The trapping would have cost $375, but since there was no raccoon trapped, Jose did not charge me anything, even though he had to come out twice after the initial inspection.
Jose is extremely courteous, smart and cheerful. I would definitely call him again. Maybe for that skunk who seems to like it under my deck?
"Thank you for your kind words and the trust on my services. I am glad the raccoons moved out and you did not have to spend extra on the job. Best regards, Jose"
The gentleman from Critters Trapper was so
professional, courtesy and knowledgeable. All questions, that I asked,
he knew the answer and provided additional information. He seemed so honored,
that I requested his services. I strongly recommend him to anyone, who has
challenges with certain animals.
"Thank you for your kind review. I am humbled by your words. Honesty is the cornerstone of my services. I work hard to provide a professsional service that people can trust."
"Thank you for your kind words. I am glad that my services made a difference. I work hard to be trustworthy. Thank you for the trust you put in my services!"
Jose was very cordial and we would highly recommend him. Great service!
"Thank you for your kind review. Doing quality service to the best of my abilities in every job is my priority. Thank you for having confidence my services."
Desperate at 4:00PM the Tuesday before the party, I logged onto Angie's list and started searching. I called the Critter Trapper, who picked up immediately, and was able to diagnose over the phone that the smell was emanating from under the house. He said he could come by THAT NIGHT after he finished a job nearby, and quoted me $275. Yes and YES!
My husband met him at the house around 7:00PM, and by the time I got home from work around 8, he was gone and the smell had been reduced by at least 50%. In less than an hour, Jose identified the source (two decaying opossums under the house under the dining room- poor things), took a picture that he showed to my husband (spared me the details), removed the animals, disinfected the area, charged exactly what he quoted, and was on to the next job. I couldn't believe it, I was so thrilled!! It happened so quickly and efficiently, it felt like a superhero swooped in and saved the day.
I am so happy with his service, and this price was more than reasonable. Take a good look at his website- you'll see he means serious business! He is an expert in this field, so don't bother messing around with traditional pest control companies. THANK YOU JOSE!!!
"I am glad everything worked out great for your celebration. I am humbled by your kind words. Thank you.!"
I enjoyed working with Jose. He was professional, friendly, knowledgable, and stood by his work. I would not hesitate to use him again should I have problems with a wildlife infestation.
"Thank you for your review. I stand behind my work if some unforseen events happen."
"[member name removed]: Thank you for your kind review. I am glad that my services made a difference in your problem. I am humbled by the trust people put in my services. It makes me perform to the best of my habilities and capabilities every single day and in every single job. Best regards, Jose Luis Becerra The Critter Trapper"
Because I explained that this was my second go round with a critter ridder and he didn't think the previous company had done a good job, he charged me what the previous company had charged me. I would use him again and would hilghy recommend him.
"[member name removed] Thank you for your kind words. I am glad my expertise on evicting animals met or passed your expectations. As you experienced before with a prevous company, not all trapping companies knowledge about wildlife is equal. I am an specialist in my trade but I never will stop learning because each home and situation is different from each other and this fact create a new challenge every time I take a job. I make sure that every job is done right the very first time with the best materials available for a long lasting solution. The old saying "You get what you pay for" is very tru in this economy because cutting corners to cut on prices never ends in satisfactory results. Thank you again and best regards, Jose Luis Becerra The Critter Trapper"

"Member: Thank you for yor kind words and review. Providing long term solutions for our clients is very important because short term solutions become more expensive over time."
had multiple companies come and check it out but none of them offered a
permanent solution with a reasonable price, they all involved us having to pay
more money for every visit that we needed later on. Others would just tell us
that they couldn?t help us solve the problem because there was no solution. Until we called The Critter Trapper and spoke
to Jose, he then came out and checked the entire place out and gave us a
permanent solution for a reasonable price. What we liked about him and his
company was that they?re very straightforward with no secrets. He?s a great
guy, a lifesaver for sure. If it wasn?t for him we?d probably still be going
crazy everyday because of our pigeon problem. We couldn?t have possibly gone
with a better choice.
So if you ever need a guy to take care of uninvited creatures
I definitely recommend them, they will not disappoint you.
"Thank you for your kind words. Honesty is our priority. I do not want to turn any job into a revolving account. People needs permanent solutions, not a temporary fix. Knowing what to do comes from experience and experience comes only with time. I specialize in few animals and that makes easier to solve the problem related to them. If I do not solve the problem, I do not charge! That's how confident I am in my expertice, but I never, never underestimate any problem or situation, big or small."
"Thank you for your review and your kind words. Meeting or exceeding the client expectations is our priority. I do not subcontract my work, I pride myself on giving a 100% all the time. Know who enters your home, I am Certified drug, alcohol and criminal record free. Records are available on request by a third party certifing agency."
"Thank you for your review. Installing an owl house will take care of rodents in a natural way instead of poisons that can kill pets and wildlife with secondary poisoning. Knowing all the alternatives and options available to solve a problem is key to be successful. This home is nested in the hills facing a canyon with acres and acres of natural forest with lots of oaks that the owls can perch on to look for prey. Luring them to this area will increase the numbers of predators that will take care of rodents without upsetting the ecosystem."
"Member: Thank you for your kind words and your review. I like to earn what I charge and my personal believe is that clients should only pay for a service performed. I was a pleasure meeting you."
"Thank you for your kind review and thank you for thrusting that I was going to be able to solve your problem."
Mr. Becerra responded immediately to my call and before quoting a price for the service, he made a point of letting me know that the County would pick up the animal at no charge if we moved it to the curb.
Even though I called in the afternoon, he scheduled the service for the same day, gave me a time-frame for his arrival and arrived exactly on schedule.
He is professional, personable and very knowledgeable. I will absolutely contact him again if necessary and would recommend him very highly.
"Thank you for your kind words. Honesty and integrity are my priority. My clients should get a service worthy of their expectations. Anything less is unacceptable."
"Thank you for your kind words. We pride on trying to save as many animals as legally possible and at the same time make sure that the home owners are happy with a critter free home. Best regards, The Critter Trapper"
"I am glad our services met your expectations and that you are satisfied with the results."
