The service was great. We have used other auto service companies before, but we found errors in their service and we did not like their high prices. He is accurate in his assessment of the problems. If he can complete the work in a day, he will. I brought my car in, he looked at it right away, and he was done with his assessment in about two hours. I did not have to wait. He has a good attitude. I was very pleased. I will definitely take my car back there. He is reasonable on price.

Kim's Auto Service was able to quickly diagnose the Check Engine light problem with my older car. This happened on a Saturday afternoon, and since I wasn't comfortable driving the car, I was able to leave the car at the shop in a locked yard until Mr. Kim could get to it on Monday. He called Monday morning with the results of the diagnosis (an ignition coil pack replacement) and an estimate. The car was ready quickly, and the cost turned out to be less than estimated. How often does that happen?! I was quite pleased with the whole experience and will definitely take the car back for tune-ups.

Mr Kim's Auto Repair has been at the northeast corner of Manchester and Florence/Aviation for 39 years. (If you know the area, that's just west of Randy's giant donut, as seen in the Ironman movie.) Mr Kim, the owner, is a nice guy who will probably be the first one you talk to. In my case, when the check engine light came on, I was convinced that it was either a) the timing belt or b) the transmission, from which you can see that I am a glass-half-empty kind of person. In the kind of semi-suicidal tizzy that you can only experience on a Monday afternoon when your check engine light is on, I called Mr Kim, who could probably tell what kind of state I was in and kindly promised to wait a few minutes even if I didn't make it in by 5:30 on the dot. In the end, it turned out to be an airflow sensor and the fan belt, so it cost a whole lot less than I had expected to get the car rolling again. In two days, I was back on the road, and Mr Kim even called to check up and see how the car was running. (It is convenient that Kim's is in the vicinity of the airport if, like me, you need to rent a car to get around for a couple days.) Yay Mr Kim! Keep up the good work!
