Bear Home Repair and Improvements

In March, Albert came to repair a door that would not remain closed unless it was locked. I had used another repair person first, who could not fix the problem.  Albert replaced the strike plate and made other adjustments, and now the door is fine.  Another time, on April 12, Albert painted a large bright yellow room that had a large hole in the wall.  He filled the plate-sized hole, primed the room, and applied two coats.  In the end, you could not tell where the hole had been or that the room had ever been yellow. Only half of my staircase had risers, and that was problematic because my cat could get through my stairs and underneath my house.  Another contractor suggested using chicken wire to fix this.  Albert immediately recommended wood, which he primed, then applied two coats of paint, and he cut the wood individually to install the wood risers.  Then he secured all the stairs' treads to make sure they were stable. He also repainted a bedroom that another contractor on the list had initially painted.  Despite the room having just been painted, paint streaks and bleed-throughs were evident.  Albert approached that room as if it had only been primed.  We were very pleased with the final result.
