Shaun was amazing! We had a 4 month wait with the city to approve permits and he was persistent and thorough. He kept checking in with the city and with us until everything was finalized. He continued to check on us throughout the construction process and after.

This was one of the things I truly appreciated about Shaun especially because this is our first remodeling/room addition project. We recently got our plans approved with no corrections needed on the first submittal which says a lot about Shaun, the structural engineer (James Hu) and the Title 24 specialist. I’m very glad I found Shaun. I am willing to bet my bottom dollar that you will not regret hiring Shaun!

Now that we're 6-9 months removed from our remodel, now's a good time to reflect on Shaun's work: We hired Shaun to help with our kitchen remodel, which was to include adding/subtracting some structural walls and adding new electrical, plumbing, etc. While I thought I knew what I wanted going in, Shaun brought some good ideas to the table and we ended up going with some of what Shaun recommended we change on our original plan. In hindsight, it was a good idea as Shaun knows his stuff. He was timely in his drawings and was helpful in both getting structural drawings done as well as getting city approval. I would definitely choose to hire him again for future projects.

Shaun is professional and very responsive. He had a quick turnaround time and helped manage the process seamlessly. He willingly provides advice and is flexible in working around our ideas. Having used other designers, I was very impressed with Shaun and would definitely use him again.

Shaun did an amazing job on the design of our room and front entry/porch addition. In regards to our other issue with county building inspector and code enforcement, Shaun coordinated everything and amazingly, just after only one meeting with county, everything was cleared with no additional work added than what was originally approved. It went great. The plans were discussed with us and he recommended a couple of items we would never have thought of. The plans were delivered in a timely matter as promised. Shaun also recommended an engineer who did a great job and was very responsive. The plans sailed through our HOA, which is rare with our HOA, and were approved by the city without any hassle. We are now in the construction process. All of the contractors who looked at the plans said they were excellent and very thorough. Shaun is always available if something is needed. However, because they were so thorough that has not been a necessity. Shaun has kept in touch throughout the process. We highly recommend Shaun Moore.

Shaun was great to work with and really listened to what we were wanting and came up with a few designs. After seeing those we decided to merge two designs and after that Shaun took care of the rest and a short time later we had plans approved by the city. Shaun kept us well informed along the way and I am so glad we went with him because the final plans we have are very well detailed and all the general contractors who have bid on the contract are thankful for that.

I was sited by the city while doing a bathroom remodel for not having the appropriate permits. What I thought was going to be an easy update quickly turned into a very stressful and confusing process that was way out of my depth. I reached out to Shaun to help and he was extremely helpful, kind, and responsive. Highly recommended!

A real professional, Shaun was happy to draw up design plans for us at a reasonable price. He provided us with 3 different iterations. I am so much happier with my original 1959 home now that I have a vision for future potential. We are not ready to move forward with a remodel of this scale, but when we are, I would not hesitate to contact Shaun.

The whole process was fantastic. He is very clear in his initial proposal of the cost and the steps to completion. We worked very closely together to ensure that I got exactly what I wanted. He had great suggestions, and in the end, the design was completely different than when we started and so much better. As we moved through the actual construction phases, inspectors have complemented the design and the choice of materials. Shaun is very prompt in returning calls, often will answer without having to leave a message. I appreciated how accessible he was during the whole process. I would definitely refer him to family and friends. Actually, I already have given his name to a coworker and it looks like soon she will be another happy customer. We are very pleased with Shaun's work.  He had creative solutions that on many occasions saved us money. .  His knowledge of the intricacies required to work with the city saved us both time and money.  I would happily use Shaun in the future.

The job went smoother than expected.  The plans were drawn up to perfection and submitted to the city.  The city approved the plans without any changes.  Additionally, Shaun coordinated all the engineers and other drawings needed.

Shaun was fantastic to work with.  He met with us, took detailed notes and asked great questions about what we wanted from our remodel. He created several different drawings after that initial meeting for us to review and comment on.  Shaun had numerous great ideas for how to improve the spacing, flow, and look of our original idea. 

Once we decided on a final drawing, Shaun worked to coordinate the title 24 and engineer work to get the drawings to a point where they could be taken to contractors for bidding.  In addition, Shaun worked directly with the city to obtain desk approval of the plans.  Shaun answered our questions timely, provided great feedback, and worked within our time frame. 

I would use Shaun again, and happily recommend him to any family or friend. 

I decided that I wanted a "big/beautiful" kitchen and an outdoor (California) room - which would require an addition out into the backyard of my property. I didn't know where to start......  So, I decided to look on Angies List to find someone to help me.  I found Shaun Moore and decided to give him a call based on his experience and his exceptional reviews.  I called Shaun and received an immediate return call.  We made plans for him to meet me at my house so that I could get his thoughts.  He arrived promptly and we started discussing the addition.  Shaun independently checked with my city of Rancho Santa Margarita to find out what their rules were for additions.  We talked about what I wanted to do and Shaun started measuring.
Within a reasonable amount of time, (a few weeks), Shaun came back with a wonderful design.  I was able to see that I could have what I wanted!  The drawings included interior and exterior views.  We discussed, I made a few changes, and Shaun left to make the changes.  He quickly sent me the changes for approval.  They were great!  I immediately took the drawings to my Homeowners Association and was so happy when my changes sailed thru the approval process using Shaun's drawings.
I will soon be starting construction on the addition.   When I have shown Shaun's drawings to contractors, they have been very impressed with the quality of the design.   I am so thankful to Shaun for helping me realize my dream of a vastly improved first floor!

Shaun was excellent to work with.  He was extremely responsive, and knowledgeable of the codes and regs.  He was very creative in addressing some of the challenges that we presented him with.  We found Shaun to be an excellent partner in this project and someone that we would use again and recommend to our friends.

Shaun is terrific.  He is great to work with, easy-going, and friendly.  He is knowledgeable and offered several suggestions and recommendations to covert an existing dining room into a bedroom, and add an ADA-compliant bathroom with walk-in shower and a big walk-in closet.  Shaun also secured a structural design engineer and a Title 24 energy report, and submitted all plans to the city for approval, keeping us informed of the process all along the way.  I can't say enough good things about him!

Shaun was very professional, punctual, and responsive. He prepared two initial designs and presented them to us. Based on his designs we chose a mix of both and he completed the design. Shaun obtained approval of the design from the city of Huntington Beach. After design approval we changed our mind on a couple items in the plan. Shaun quickly prepared new plans and again obtained approval from the city. 
Shaun has made himself available during the construction phase of the project.
