He was pretty good. I'm not sure if the price was good. I think it was too high. I would probably look up someone else the next time.

He did a phenomenal job. Everything that he said he would do he followed through with. A few of the plants had died and he came back out and replaced them with no question. We actually had a problem with our sprinkler system that caused the plants to die and he replaced them anyway. I had three people come out and he was the most reasonable price after listening to what I wanted to have done. Again he did everything perfectly, in a timely manner and with exceptional results. If I ever need work done again he is the one I would call.

Initially, the dialogue was good. We had drawn up meticulous plans and were looking for someone who understood our mid-century modern sensibility. He seemed to get it. He informed us that he didn't do the concrete work and did not have anyone he could recommend. This concerned us, but he said he would be fine coordinating the schedule with the concrete contractor so that seemed reasonable. He started the job as scheduled. Removed the brick planters, but mysteriously, did not remove the dirt. He started rototilling these massive mounds, which made no sense. He had misunderstood our request to remove the planters, which meant removing the dirt too. We agreed to pay an additional $452 for a dumpster and he removed 10 yards of dirt, by hand, at the end of which he handed me another bill for $500 in labor, which, reluctantly we paid. He returned to install the sprinklers. We questioned him again about when the rough grading would be done, he indicated that he would do the grading when they rototilled the soil after the sprinklers were installed. This didn't really make sense to us, because it still looked like there was a lot more dirt that needed to be removed. But we proceeded with his recommendation. They did all the trenching by hand. They cut a 10" x 20' strip in our existing driveway with a concrete saw to get pipe to the parkway. Since the final grading had not been done, it was difficult to measure the exact position of the planter beds, but he assured us that the sprinklers were on swing joints which allowed for some movement. Reluctantly, we proceeded with his recommendation. The sprinklers were installed. He stopped until we had the fences installed and tried to find someone to do the concrete work. Since the grading was not complete, this became very complicated. We are now having to pay someone else to do the grading, which will likely affect the sprinkler locations. So we're left with a mess.

HE CAME OUT AND GOT THE JOB DONE. THE WORK WAS GOOD AND HE BACKED IT UP.

Crew showed up on time and completed work quickly. They left the area clean when finished.

He is honest and upfront; he didn't rush off leaving me to find someone else to help me with the job. There was no charge for him coming all this way to find out he couldn't help me.

Peter suggested appropriate plants for borders and pots, then accompanied me to nursery to make sure we agreed on the selections. He provided beautiful, high quality plants, removed old vegetation, planted new material and set up pots and fountain. He was very responsive, flexible, knowledgeable, and has done great follow up. He made excellent suggestions of plants that would fit my needs and taste. I am continuing to use his services for regular garden maintenance and am very pleased so far.

They were on time and finished in two days. I asked Peter if he could haul away a pile of dirt that had been left in my backyard after some construction. He was very nice about doing that and just added a little more to the bill. Some plants were moved to make room for the sprinklers and, I think, not put back properly. He did replace plants that died in the move. I had one problem when a sprinkler had been on all day, and when I got home from work my side yard and neighbor's yard was flooded. Peter came out right away and shut it off and reprogrammed it. He also moved a sprinkler that had been placed in front of my garage side door. A few of the sprinklers still do not work. I put a call in to Peter and was told he would come out and call me when it was fixed. He still hasn't called.

On time, worked hard, finished the job in predicted time, personable, priced reasonable compared to other estimates.

THE LANDSCAPER RETURNED OUR CALL PROMPTLY FOR A QUOTE TO PICK UP AND PLANT A PALM TREE. THE ESTIMATE WAS FAIR. THE WORKERS WERE ON TIME AND VERY NEAT. THE LANDSCAPER WAS ALSO HELPFUL IN GIVING US IDEAS ON OTHER LANDSCAPING.

WE HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK PERFORMED BY NICHOLSON LANDSCAPE. THEY WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND DID EXCELLENT WORK. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
