I've waited for 6 months to write this review, giving Jonathon multiple opportunities to make good on his word. We are left with incomplete work, and a contractor who has now gone back on his word to complete the job. Our mistakes, we trusted someone my husband thought was a friend and we paid him approximately $17k in cash (no friend discount here). For the most part, though opinionated, he worked quickly and with quality. At then the last parts of the job came... and we're here waiting. First, he tore down a wall at our request, we supplied wood to fill in the gaps, and instead of telling us he needed another box of wood, he cut the pieces into even lengths and attempted to stuff them into place. The result? I'll fitting, poorly cut floor. He says he will fix it if we buy more wood - he's wasted two boxes of wood, and isn't accounting for that loss. Had he shared up front he needed that, we would have ordered it no problem. After $17k, who cares about another box or two of bamboo flooring. Next, I'm staring a a light fixture I ordered at a Christmas of last year that needs to be hung. Our work was done in December 2015, the light was backordered and received in April. From December to February, Jonathon asked repeatedly when the light would be in so that he could install it. Once it arrived, in april (it's now November), he's been dodging my husband, calling his electrician a flake, told us to call the electrician and schedule, telling us he promises to get it done.... and NOW, just a few weeks ago, he's claiming it was never paid for and not part of the original bid. Obviously, if that was the case he would have stated that from the very beginning. In the past few months I've noticed some of his work is coming apart, mounted lights are coming away from the ceiling, some lights have drywall holes cut around them too large, and I have paint on my bathroom light fixtures. All of that, I could live with and just let it go in light of getting the other issues fixed, but the fact that he's shown himself to be a dishonest business person, has led to our pursuing our money back through small claims, or whatever means necessary.
