BOTH MOVES WENT VERY WELL.  A TABLE WAS DAMAGED DURING THE MOVE AND IT WAS REPAIRED.  THEY ARE WELL EXPERIENCED AND WERE CAREFUL.

I had a great experience with Golden West Moving. I needed storage, a delayed delivery and several pieces to go to different locations. Everyone that worked on my move was wonderful (Colin, John). They were professional and took great care with my things. The final price came in less than the bid. Highly recommend.

The appointment was scheduled for 5:00 p.m. By 6:00 p.m., they had not showed, so I called the office. I got an answering machine and left a message. By 7:00 p.m., I called again and again left a message. They arrived at 7:10 p.m. The guys had gotten stuck in traffic and tried to call me but they were given the wrong phone number by the dispatcher. The movers were great. They did everything I asked. Unfortunately, the dispatching office is a disaster. I was finally contacted by email 2 weeks later with an apology. But, as I responded to them...too little, too late. I would not use them again.

THESE GUY ARE THE BEST. THEY GAVE AN HONEST ESTIMATE. ARRIVED AND FINISHED ON TIME. PROTECTED THE FLOORS FROM DIRT AND SCRATCHING. VERY CAREFUL WITH MY FURNITUREL THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I HAVE USED THEM. I WOULDN'T CONSIDER ANYONE ELSE TO MOVE ME.

Peter, the owner, provides accurate estimates, shows up on time, and his team is very professional. They take good care to wrap furniture. Our first move was from an apartment to a condo, up 2 flights of stairs. Our second move was from the condo to a house, down the same condo stairs. Nothing was damaged and the move was as promised.

Golden West Moving is a small local company referred to me by a co-worker and friend who had also recently moved, and I will absolutely be using them again for any future moves as well as gladly give them my highest recommendations for any moves within their purview. When I made the choice to move I filled in the forms at a couple of different moving web sites and was subsequently spammed daily with emails and phone calls of companies who wanted my business. Every one of those companies I talked to was happy to taut their low rates, but all seemed shady in the expenses they wouldn't tell me about. Huge mark-ups for packing materials were normal as were extra charges for additional services such as wrapping wall art and mirrors and even "state-mandated" handling of TVs. Not a one offered an in-person estimate of their costs, and every one gave me the impression that despite their low initial rates, I would have been nickeled and dimed to death with their add-ons. Contacting Golden West Moving was a huge relief from the other companies. From my initial contact to the move itself they were friendly, professional and a pleasure to talk to and work with. I found out later that they don't advertise, and only perform work based on word of mouth. It's easy to see why. The day after I contacted GWM the owner of the company, Peter, personally came out and inspected our apartment. He took notes on everything: what we were moving, where we were moving from and to, and any potential issues. He was friendly and expedient, and it was obvious he had been doing this for quite a while. We received the quote by email the next day. It was a little higher than I expected, but also included everything. There were no hidden fees, no unexpected costs---it was all right there, and after a couple of discussions I found out that my expectations were slightly outdated and that the price was reasonable. I happily booked them shortly after. The day of the move both two-man teams (one at the house, the other at the apartment) showed up at the beginning of their windows, and again were friendly, professional and expedient. Again, it was obvious these people knew what they were doing. The entire move was incredibly smooth from start to finish. The movers were more than happy to handle special requests (for example, we donated one of our beds and they dismantled it and moved it to the parking lot for us) and all were a pleasure to work with. When all was said and done, the move was completed faster than I'd thought, and was several hundred dollars under budget on top of that. They were an amazing company to deal with from start to finish, and I cannot recommend them enough. Thanks guys!

Excellent, very helpful. This was the first time I have used a professional moving company and I am very pleased with the service. They wrapped everything that needed to be and everything was delivered in good condition.
