 + 3 moreThe 6-month job was into 8 months when we fired Peo and his Giant Construction (company) after we found that we were lied to about passing the framing inspection. After hiring others to nearly start the job over we found that only the cement slab and most of the electrical could pass inspection. We and another homeowner filed CSLB complaints on Peo and the owner of the license # 557628 provided for use. It turned out that his Giant Construction (company) was a fake and unregistered business. Peo pleaded guilty to charges in the O.C. Criminal Court Case # 03SM01143 MA (2003 - 2008) and is now serving time in O.C. jail (see Sheriff's web site for inmate info and type in Peo, age 37 (booking # 2474992)). Today, Peo owes more than $600, 000.00 in Court ordered damages. During the 5 yr Court Case Peo had written the Court stating that he would return to his home in South Africa, and he may still do so. The license holder stipulated to charges in CSLB Case # S 2002 0005000 (see CSLB web site and type in the Lic. # 557628 to review the complaint disclosure and violations).
Description of Work: We hired Danie Peo and his Giant Construction (company) of San Clemente, CA to remodel our home and to add on 1,000 sq. ft. After we called and verified References and the CSLB Lic. # 557628 provided we agreed to Estimates and Contracts. Peo provided Blueprints, demo work, cement slab, framing, electrical, plumbing and roofing. The total amount spent was $103,000.00.
