Fred's Soft Water

Rick was prompt, friendly and professional. He offered and explained several options. We agreed on a compact fairly simple unit and a couple days later he installed it. He made an extra effort to maximize adjacent storage space . . . even though tucking tight to back and side walls was more difficult for him. A week later, Rick stopped by our home to make sure that we had no issues/questions regarding the new unit. This follow-up made Rick a "star" in my view.

After being told by another provider that my soft water system needed to be replaced, I asked Fred's for a second opinion. And Rick was awesome. He was a straightshooter and very thorough. I never got the feeling that he was trying to sell me something or take advantage of my ignorance. He explained everything as he went--and confirmed that, indeed, my current system is working just fine.
After my experience today, I'm dumping the people who normally provide this service and going exclusively with Fred's.

Said he could fix the leak in my old softener but it was not taking any commands to recharge. I decided to go with renting a softener for $25 a month. He had to come back to install it so he turned off the leaking softener and put it on bypass. He returned in a couple of days and was able to use all the salt in the old one plus 2 extra bags I had so I had no salt charge. He hauled the broken softener away and cleaned up the garage floor. Very quick and efficient.

My water softener hadn't been serviced in 10 years; it started screaming a year ago, and I just unplugged it. I couldn't find anyone to repair it, so it sat for a year. I found this company on Angie's list. Rick came out promptly and not only figured out the problem, he helped me clean out the tank, taught me how to check the system myself and even gave me a manual he had on hand. He could have milked this for a whole lot more, but he has the integrity and pride of knowing he knows his stuff. I can't give a higher recommendation. Wish I could find more people like him.

Rick, the repairman was prompt, friendly, knowledgible and reasonable priced. His work was skillfully done as he has been in the business for around 40 years. I would definitely recommend him to others with any type of water softener problems.

THIS REPAIRMAN WAS VERY PUNCTUAL AND COURTEOUS. HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING AND WAS HONEST BASED ON THE AGE OF OUR WATER SYSTEM. HE CLEANED UP AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED.
