California Custom Creations, Inc.

We hired Eddie Stokes, California Custom Creations Inc., to perform an extensive remodel of the first floor of our home. This included demo and constructing new slab, plumbing, electrical, interior and exterior walls, furnace and duct work, ceiling, and a new kitchen. We had a dispute regarding workmanship and pricing in numerous areas. The dispute went to Contractor State Licensing Board (CSLB) arbitration in which we won the award.

Calling CCC was the best thing I did. All the other work performed by prior licensed contractors were costing me additional time and money because they were unorganized and inexperienced in comparison to CCC. It was clear that CCC is experienced and knows their business inside and out. In fact, it was only with the assistance of CCC, that I was able to finally pass the city inspection. My only regret is that I didn't call them sooner. I am definitely going to call Eddie in the future for any work I am going to have done...no matter how big or small.

We discussed the price for some time but as soon as we had agreed on the scope and the price CCC went to work and got it all done within our agreed deadline. His guys took good care of our property and there was not need for me to get much involved in the process The Deck came out great and my wife and I are very happy with it

During the design phase, the contractor, Eddie Stokes, consulted with me on alternative designs, providing estimates of their prospective costs. On the final plan, his construction bid was the most detailed and competitive. His building foreman was highly experienced and knowledgeable, as were his subs. During the building phase he was highly responsive to my requests for changes and on his own suggested several improvements. Quality was a consistent concern, and I am very pleased with the final result. My remodeled home was the subject of a feature article in a South Bay newspaper. On the business side, the contractor’s scheduling and accounting systems were not yet mature, making it difficult for me to anticipate decision milestones and track progress.
