Excellent service. On time for the service. Charged $89 for the service call and $40 for labor in 30 minutes and the dryer works perfectly.

Dryer broke down late Monday. He came out the next day, examined the dryer and gave us the estimate. Said it would be a couple of days until the parts arrived. On Wednesday afternoon they called and set up an appointment for the next day. Promptly on time, he arrived on Thursday and had the dryer fixed in under a half hour. As always, he did an outstanding job!

On February 10, 2012 I called my home warranty service (American Home Shield) to have my Whirlpool Duet Dryer repaired. They sent out Mr. Appliance of Salinas to make the repairs. After almost 5 months of lying representatives from both companies I fired American Home Shield and Mr. Appliance.
It became obvious after hiring Shaw's Appliance Repair service as to exactly why I was getting the run-around. The part to correctly fix the dryer cost $424.00 and they didn't want to pay for it. But 5 months!!!! They constantly told me that the part had to be back ordered (3 times), the part was lost, the invoice was lost etc. In mid June I discontinued AHS and called Whirlpool directly to check on the availability of the part (which they had in stock) and to get a reliable Whirlpool repair service. Whirlpool recommended Shaw's.
I called Shaw's the following day. Curtis came to my home, diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts, (one of which was missing and could only have been taken by a previous repairman). Within a week and a half the parts came in and my dryer was finally up and running. It took Curtis a little over a week to do what others could not do in 5 months.
It was well worth the money it cost to make the repairs to get rid of dishonest and unprofessional service people and get my dryer working again!!!

The repair man came eventually and after looking at the dishwasher, he took out a part. He said it was the culprit, and he got a new part to replace it. He put the old part on my counter and asked if I would throw it away, which I did. The repair man left, and when I tried to run the dishwasher all the way through, it was doing the same thing it did before. I called Shaw's back, and they said that maybe I should put "T***" in the dishwasher to run it through, and that the "T***" (remember that orange powdered drink?) would clear up any clogs that might be in the tubes. I tried the "T***" and it did not work. I called Shaw's and told them that obviously the part the repair man replaced was not the problem, and that I wanted a refund of the $280 I was charged for the part and labor since it did not fix the problem. The lady I spoke with told me she would send a check to me. I ended up having to purchase a new dishwasher because I was sick and tired of waiting for Shaw's to do the right thing and actually FIX my broken dishwasher. Not only was I out the cost of a new dishwasher ($900), but I paid Shaw's about $300 for NOTHING. They never sent me a check, and when I called to ask them for it, they were VERY rude and said they were NOT going to send me a check. I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau as well, which gave Shaw's the opportunity to give their side of the story. Shaw's did not respond to the BBB after multiple attempts, so they have my report on their record for three years. DO NOT CALL SHAW'S APPLIANCE REPAIR IN THE HOLLISTER AREA -- YOU WILL GET SCAMMED, WILL NOT GET YOUR APPLIANCE REPAIRED, AND YOU WILL BE OUT A LOT OF MONEY. If I ran my business like they did, I would not BE in business.

I was very pleased with the work they did for me. Although it was just a routine maintenance job they were prompt, courteous, and left no mess. Dishwasher has been working great ever since.
