NATIONAL GREENS

Very windy conditions during a recent night created a hazardous situation outside our home:  We found that a large frond on the palm tree in our front yard was now leaning against the electric power line that supplies our next door neighbor?s home.  Since the forecast predicted that stormy weather would continue for the next few days, we wanted to have the frond safely removed ASAP to avoid snapping the power line.   It was a Sunday morning, so we contacted a number of landscapers on Angie?s List that either
posted Sunday business hours or promised 24-hr emergency tree services.  None responded until we contacted Bob Duarte of National Greens in Hermosa Beach, who promised to arrive within the next hour ? which he did.  Bob and his assistant were friendly and professional, and they quickly removed the palm frond, cut it into manageable pieces, and took it way in their truck for proper disposal.  All this for a very reasonable price ? especially considering it was an ?emergency? call on Sunday.  We?ll definitely contact Bob in the future for maintenance of our palm trees and other landscaping issues.

Bob is terrific. He has a good eye for design and color; he is extremely pleasant and efficient. He called to follow up a few weeks later to see how the new plants were doing, especially given the current water rationing. He remembered that we had taken out some jasmine vines on a previous job and brought some new trailing jasmines for this project.

Bob was very knowledgeable, on-time, and did great work. They were very reasonably priced, and completed the installation quickly and efficiently. Bob worked with us to choose plants that we liked and work well in our environment. One year later the yard still looks great, and we receive many compliments on it.
