"Unfortunately [member name removed] does not want to accept the fact that she has damaged her own floors. I went to her home with a professional sales re (not a personal friend) I have a written report stating her flooring issues are defineatly due to moisture. I also have pictures that prove the floor is buckling in front of kitchen and bar sink, in front of water cooler, and under potted plants as well. The home also has a swamp cooler. One visit to the home there was a soaked beach towel sitting right next to the washer on the cork floor and her own father said they had a toilet overflow. [member name removed] also states she uses the cleaning kit I provided her with, but you could clearly see streaks from a string mop on her floor. I am now going to have to shell out cash to send a national wood flooring association inspector to her home in my defense. I have been laying floors for 21 years and have never had one complaint – I'm sorry [member name removed] is disgruntled but this is not an installation issue- I am a very reputable flooring contractor in Southern California. 95% of my work comes from referrals. I have never been questioned about my work until now. It is very disappointing to me hat I am being accused of poor workmanship, due to someone elses neglegence."
"I would like to start by warning all contractors to stay clear of this customer... What she failed to mention is that I was coming to sand and refinish, then customize a stain to her liking in the entire library. I told her it would cost her $800.00. She wanted me to come out for free just to test my knowledge and expertise of my trade. I am a small business and I cannot afford to work for free at her disposal.. including forking out money for materials and labor- As far as professionalism goes I am tops, 95% of my work comes from referrals and the last time I checked people don't refer contractors who are anything but on top of their game! I am relieved I did not accept this persons job, if she couldn't even compensate me for her library who knows if she would have even paid for the rest of the job upon completion! And to touch on the topic of me "non stop talking"and being "anxious"... Sad that some people mistake motivation, excitement and passion in their profession for anything other than what it is- I too had mixed feelings the first time I went out to measure her job, she took forever to answer the door and when she finally did she confessed she almost didn't come to the door because she just had a Botox procedure, we had a set appointment!!! So, as I stated before "beware of customer" I'm not the one you need to be concerned about!"
