Estimate was done. Seemed reasonable at the time. Gave the go ahead after confirming work to be done Appeared to have a common understanding of my expectations with the estimator Day that the work was to be performed arrived. It was pouring rain. Crew arrived and set about performing the work as contracted At the end of the day - they left having removed the tree and bush - leaving the tree stump behind, not having completed the trimming of the overhangs (especially one large dead and broken branch. The oak in front had been lightly pruned and the bay trees had not been pruned at all. When the company was contacted about the poor job that was done -my real grief began. After much persuasion the estimator came back to look at the job that had been done and agreed that more work needed to be done. The large oak was then pruned satisfactorily as we're the two neighbouring trees. The bays seem to have been only slightly trimmed. No deadwood removed just the canopy having been neat ended up. The tree stump story was hilarious. I was told I should have been asked at the time of estimation whether or not the stump was to have been removed ( I'm no arborist but when I asked for the tree to be removed the stump was attached to the tree) begrudgingly I agreed to pay an additional 200 to have the stump removed. Aside from the unprofessional and uncooperative manner in which I was treated by staff I still could not get them to do any of the work that we had discussed on the bay trees. They flat out refused I was coming in to town and wanted to see the results myself before releasing payment. I was satisfied that the work done on the large trees was done as per the contract but was not happy with the trimming of the bay tree hedge I kept telling the woman who called me and emailed me demanding payment to no avail. Finally she suggested I take it up with the owner What an a**. No other words to describe it. He was not interested in the least that I was not satisfied with the work that his company had done. Got all bent out of shape and threatened me with legal action if I didn't pay immediately. Awesome customer service awesome workmanship and just a vile creature to try to resolve problems with. He will get paid for the work that he did well. He will however have wait for that payment because of the shoddy treatment he gave a customer who was just trying to get the job she contracted for done. Could have had his cash today if he wasn't so rude and obnoxious. :)

Overall positive experience and would use their services again: Had estimator come out twice to make sure we were on same page with which trees to remove and what could be accomplished at what price point (in hindsight this could have been accomplished in one visit had we both taken more time and been more thorough). On workday, four man crew arrived with the estimator at the agreed time (who got the crew started and then left for the day)  . Crew was at all times polite, professional, open to questions, and seemed very good at their jobs. Near the end of the day there was some confusion about what the job end time was, but a phone call to the estimator resulted in what I feel was a fair compromise.  All of the requested trees were cut and their brush chipped/removed. Ran out of time to cut down the (fallen) trunks into "rounds", but this possibility was discussed ahead of time and in light of adding a couple extra trees to be cut on workday, was not a surprise (not ideal, but within discussed/stated expectations).  Only thing I wasn't crazy about was the need for work to slow down (and loss of a crewman) while the truck that the "brush" was being chipped into had to return to their yard to be emptied: In hindsight this possibility should have been discussed in advance and other options (and costs) discussed (e.g., bringing a 2nd truck, or going to a local dump  which would have been quicker) - this might have allowed for more time to complete cutting the downed trees into rounds and I probably would have paid a bit more to make this all happen.

In summary, I would use Image Tree again: They did the job they said they would in a safe and professional manner.

Came out within days of contacting for quote. Was on time, asked all the pertaining questions as to what we want. Arrived on time to perform the work. Excellent job--performed better than expected
