We had used Claude/Tri City Contractors in the past and initially things went fine. There were problems on numerous occaisions with keeping appointments with the structural engineer for inspections. The engineer would come to inspect the earthquake retrofit work and somethimes the work to be inspected was not yet completed or he would not show up for the appointment. This caused our engineering bill to rise considerably as we were charged for the missed visits. A simple phone call would have saved us the extra expense. My hardwood floor has gaps and is squeekier than a haunted house. He came out once to fix a few of the floor boards and said he would return to finish the rest -- this NEVER happened. The grout in the bathroom has chiped away around one floor tile -- He has never been back to fix it. The paint had started to crack on one of the exterior walls -- I brought this to his attention, he came by, pulled off the cracked paint and now I have a big white spot where he pulled it off. He said he would be by to repaint the area -- He has not been back. The carpet at the entryway to one of the bedrooms was over cut and needs to be stretched. He said this would be easy to fix, but always seemed to forget the carpet stretcher whenever he came over. The sprinkler and drip system has suffered numerous fails and I have had to have it repaired by a "professional" because Claude never completed the repairs properly. I have been trying for over one and a half years to get these items completed. These were brought to his attention when the work was completed in September 2011. I have called and left messages, I have emailed, he tells he will be by on such and such day and he never comes. And if he does come by, it is only to pick up ANOTHER list of things that need to be completed telling me he will be by, but once again leaves me waiting. Claude is a very nice guy, but I will NEVER use him again.
