 + 0 moreOverall? I was and remain dissappointed in the fence. As time goes by, there is even more shrinkage in the wood panals and the fence is even more open, lacking the privacy I was expecting when compared to the photo I was shown. They did the job quickly, but when I got home the second day of construction, I was faced with the wrong fence design, and he would not change it. Instead he argued with me about it saying it was close enough. It was an entirely different style from what we agreed upon. He was a nice enough person, however he did not stand up to the contract and instead took a cheaper approach to the job. The wood is thin and I don't expect it to last more than a few years as it ages. I would not use him again.
Description of Work: The agreement and signed contract was to build17 feet of wood fencing on the sideyard. A photo of an earlier fence his company had done was provided as the exact example of what was to be done. the job was to include cementwork in order to install the fenceposts, a bottom 12"x 8' edging, and the fenceboards were supposed to overlap each other, in order to assure maximum privacy fencing. Instead what was built was a fence that had side to side boards with spacinf of 1/2 inch. Thus givinf no privacy and not following the contract. They also did not put the 12" x 8' bottom boards in until I refused to pay the last 1/3rd of the $$. Also the cement job was so disfigured that both me and my neighber decided to try and cover it up with large bushes in front of it on both fence sides.
