We really like them. I would rate them highly. Our last dog got very old and they took care of her to the very end. The was not very long, maybe ten minutes. The vet is wonderful. She has a wonderful way with our pets.

Everything is expensive now and days. Their quality is good. Their punctuality is good. We always make an appointment, so I would say the wait was about 10 minutes. They know my pet pretty well, so they interact with him pretty good.

My experience with them was fair. They're nice, friendly, hands-on. They give good service. They seem to know what they're doing and deliver on their word pretty consistently.

I've just used them for general veterinary services. My dog had a rash and I had them take a look at him. Their facility is clean and they're pretty helpful. My dog is a Chihuahua and usually Chihuahuas are pretty happy but the vet there was able to calm him down and even give him some snacks. They're easy. I don't think I've had a bad experience with them yet, so far so good. They prescribed my dog some medicine so that kind of added to the price.

I've had to take my Jack Rauzer, Max, to CVC twice in the past month. The first time was due to a leg injury, I incurred an initial exam fee of $63 and the remainder ($55) was for the diagnosis and medication Dr. Hughes provided. She was fantastic. Max's symptoms were noticeable until he walked a bit then the discomfort came through so Dr. Hughes took all the time needed
for his symptoms to appear. She didn't recommend x-rays, or needless tests and instead placed him on restricted activity for three weeks and anti-inflammatory for one week. Within the week, his favoring subsided and within the three weeks, he's as good as new.
I took him again this past week due to an emergency in which his health was failing, Dr. Marmolejo saw him and again rather than charging me for a barrage of tests, he sent Max home and had me observe him for twelve hours. He asked that I monitor any abnormal behavior and provide him with phone-in status reports.
I was told that their third doctor, ironically named Dr. Harvey, specializes in rabbits and chinchillas. We have both so I'm hoping I
won't have to come back to CVC, but at least I know that they will be available for any type of emergency.

We actually have been taking our cat to Chabot Veterinary since 2000. Drs Hughes and Marmalejo have always been superb--kind, gentle, and concerned--and the staff have consistently been great as well.
Several years ago, Dr Hughes likely saved our cat's life through early detection of several tumors, which were removed.
Recently, our cat was diagnosed with a bone tumor and had to have her leg amputated. Both doctors were involved in every step of the process and helped us to make the best decision. They care so much about their patients, it is amazing.
Today, we took our cat in to see Dr. Harvey for the first time, for acupuncture. She was very gentle and provided our cat with a cat bed for the 10-15 minute duration of the treatment! I really think she (the cat) enjoyed it. I can tell Dr. Harvey is another excellent provider (also judging from the number of rabbits that have invaded the cat half of the clinic ever since Dr. Harvey came on board--I heard she is a noted rabbit doctor) and am grateful to have such a wonderful veterinary clinic near my house.
By the way, I'm not sure but I thought when I made the appointment they told me it would cost $100, but I was only charged $60.

I have used this vet for my last 3 dogs and love them. (The dogs AND the vets)
This visit was for my dog Lacey who had been bitten by a rattle snake. The emergency vet that treated the bite the night before insisted she needed monitoring by my vet and even though my thinking was that she should stay at home with me, I complied. When we arrived the office was busy but the staff was very good to get a room ready ASAP. When the vet came into the room I was on the floor with Lacey, trying to comfort her. He was so compassionate. He told me he had talked to the emergency vet and thought that Lacey would be more comfortable at home with me, I was ecstatic! They carefully removed her IV, told me to bring her back immediately if anything looked as if it were getting worse, gave me instructions for her medication and didn't even charge me for the office visit!
In today's world it is difficult to find professional that really care about helping and do not put dollars before great care. I have used this vet for three dogs now, all with difficult situations, and never felt taken advantage of. the care has always been excellent, way above the norm. I have to drive a bit to use this vet but they are so worth the drive!

My kitty did well on the antibiotic course which was recommended, and I was able to pick up refills without another office visit charge. On another occasion I called about a cat who was not eating. They were completely booked and I was not able to get an appointment until the next day. Less than an hour later the same employee called me back and told me the dr. had instructed her to squeeze me in somehow. Again the vet took the time to calm the kitty, examine her, and make and explain options and recommendations for treatment. All three of the veterinarians at Chabot Veterinary Clinic are careful, kind, and knowledgeable, and I would not hesitate to recommend any of them.

I would refer them to the others. It cost under $100 plus medication. They have a rabbit specialist who is very good with the rabbits. The facility is clean and easy to get to.

We recently moved to the east bay and needed a new vet for our 2 cats. We went to Chabot for their annual exams and liked the experience very much. Both doctors are very warm and caring. They gave us as much time as we needed to explain their observations. This ties into the B for punctuality but I will take a doctor who spends time discussing the health issues to one who is always on time...

The vets there understand that for some people pets are a little bit more than just animals that happen to move around your house. I would rate them very highly. Everybody there is incredible. They understand how much you care about your animals and they act accordingly. They care about your animals just as much. One of the vets had taken care of cat for more than 10 years. We had to put our cat to sleep. He was there and he stayed and cried with us. Occasionally they might spend longer than scheduled with somebody and so you might have to wait.

The doctor was excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Carolyn Harvey if you have a rabbit. The problem was with the staff during check in and check out. When I made the appointment, they told me to be there at 8:45 a.m. My rabbit was a "new patient" so he was supposed to get an exam ($50 extra for a new patient) before the surgery. I had not been to this location before, so I left early and got there at 8:30. When I got there, they had me down for the surgery, but not the exam that I was paying for. I also faxed them the rabbit's previous medical records and they could not immediately find them. Since they did not make an appointment for the pre-op exam, I had to sit around and wait until she could fit me in since the doctor was booked up. They also do not start seeing anyone until 9:00 so I don't know why they had me come at 8:45. Bottom line is I was there an hour before anything happened. When I finally got to see the doctor, she was great. I left the rabbit and made an appointment to pick him up at 10:00 a.m. the next day. They did the surgery and Dr. Harvey called later to say all went well. I arrived at 10:00 the next morning. The bill was somewhat more than I was quoted, but not a big deal. I had another quote from a different vet for a rabbit neuter and it was even more. The staff gave me instructions on what to do the next few days and had me wait in an exam room. I was just picking him up and not expecting to see the doctor. I waited over 45 minutes while the staff was laughing, talking and otherwise screwing around in the reception area. I finally asked one of the vets walking by to find out where my rabbit was. A while later someone had my rabbit in the carrier out in the lobby asking for the owner while I was sitting in an exam room. I saw all of this since the door to the exam room was open. I don't know why they had an appointment for a pick up if it still was going to take an hour. I would only go back because Dr. Harvey was so great and is a renowned rabbit vet in the Bay Area. My rabbit recovered very quickly and there were no problems whatsoever. I was not impressed with the reception staff and it was two days in a row.

Dr. Hughes and her staff were wonderful. She called the next day and reviewed my cat's test results and had prescriptions waiting for me to pick up. She also had photocopied articles about feline thyroid problems and treatments available. Dr. Hughes was very caring and gentle with my kitty, and me!

I think they are great here. Everyone is very caring, helpful and attentive. The doctor is very good, attentive and professional. I like that he is not hurried in any way. Sometimes you have a little wait but nothing lengthy. Their prices are a little on the high side. I will continue to use them and would recommend them.

They are kind and courteous and great at diagnosis. With Lady's stagger-dog syndrome they talked to a university Vet School and researched for the correct illness and correct medications. The same for 16-year-old Jack when he developed complete heart block. They detected this when I just came in for teeth cleaning. My dogs lived longer and were more healthy because of their work. When the end came for my dogs they were sensitive and caring. I held their paws and talked to them. When I had money problems they gave me a break. When my friend's dog had kidney failure we brought her in for euthanasia because I trust them and they are sensitive. Great diagnosis, great treatment, and kind and caring people.

Dr. Marmolejo was able to do this with minimal trauma to my dog. He was very compassionate and took alot of time explaining the pros and cons of the situation, and he also took alot of time getting to know my dog so she would be comfortable.
