Said rear end needed to be totally replaced. Cost about $1500. Took over to dealer and they fixed for $500. Also with regards to fuel injector. Said could not be fixed and would cost about $750 to replace with labor. 4 years earlier had all four injectors replaced by Newtech. This time decided to replace myself and found out when I took our the injectors that Newtech installed that they were not all the same. Should have een. He had ripped me off and did not know it untill I did the work myself. Everytime I went in for a repair it seemed that something else would go wrong. I have Written Newtech off. They can not be trusted any more. Mike is nice but he has some workers who do not know what they are doing it appears or do not care about the quality of work that is performed..

Mike (the mechanic and owner) is VERY honest and VERY reasonably priced! Mike will never try to and quot;selland quot; a service that you do NOT need (like some other places).
Earlier in 2014, when I was shopping around for tires, I went to a shop (NOT Newtech) and they tried to and quot;scare meand quot; into thinking I needed all 4 struts (front and back) replaced - otherwise, driving my car will be in jeopardy (!). When I expressed hesitation in getting my struts replaced, the technician started to play and quot;mind gamesand quot; and he said and quot;Okay... I'll shave off $100...and quot; Still, my gut told me to shop around elsewhere. AND - Good thing I did! I went to Newtech Automotive and Mike examined my front and rear struts and he said the front struts were fine. But the back struts does have cracks and needs to be replaced. And I got quality struts (KYB's -- which are very good for Toyota's) at a very reasonably priced - both parts and labor.
So, when my brakes started squeaking more than usual (in Oct 2014), I did not bother getting estimates from another shop... I just went straight to Newtech Automotive. Mike remembered who I was and I got my rear brake pad and disc rotors replaced at a very reasonably priced. He's very TRUSTWORTHY! And, Mike will NOT take advantage of a female -- who does not know much about car repairs).
I am SO grateful to Newtech Automotive (in Hawthorne -- 131st Street and Inglewood Avenue)!! And, a shout out to Mike for being a good and honest mechanic (something very rare these days -- where there are so many mechanics trying to and quot;scareand quot; and sell you something you do NOT need) !!

This shop was recommended by a friend who had been using them for many years. He told me they won't recommend work that isn't needed. My daughters car had 198000 miles on it and had a blown head gasket. They confirmed the gasket and had all the work done in 4 days. Quick work fair price, pleasant attitude. I did not get a written estimate but was told on the phone (after the leak was confirmed) that it would be around $1300 - this was before it was determined to replace the water pump, belts, etc.
