About us

We are a family owned business for over 43 years. It was founded in 1967 by Paul Navlan who worked two full time jobs, the landscaping while at the same time teaching horticulture at Long Beach City College. He recently retired from Long Beach City College and passed the landscaping business to his son Tom Navlan. Tom has been working in the family business for over 14 years and has been running the business for 5 years now. Navlan's Landscape is an award winning company, winning Best Landscape 2007 in a regional section of Garden Grove.

It went perfectly. We showed them a yard about a mile from our house that we liked. They had to locate some hard-to-find fruitless olive trees and then hire a crane to install them, coordinating with the shipper. During the installation they even ran into some underground cement (a former patio??), pounded through that without complaining and completed a beautiful job in a very professional and timely manner. The sprinkler and lighting fixtures are first rate - not your run of the mill cheap stuff. From plants to dirt to fixtures and installation, this guy knows what he is doing. (His father taught landscape at our local college for 30 years and I guess a lot of that knowledge rubbed off!) I could not be happier.
