Mary Beth arrived promptly and explained her services. We felt we didn't really need her services before meeting with her because both my wife and I are into decorating. Mary Beth explained that she could bring a fresh eye to our furniture agreements and maybe assist in adding interest areas with new plants or flowers. We went room by room with her. It quickly became apparent she had an excellent eye for design, color and what would look best and what was not needed to "sell" each room on its own. We followed her advice completely. We did need to make a few minor purchases: flowers, etc. But, mostly, we moved furniture around to Mary Beth's direction and removed unnecessary items. The results were apparent, even to us. Within a few days, the realtor had sent three interested parties over to see our house, even though it wasn't listed on the MLS yet or even had a sign up yet. Two of the parties loved the house and got into a bidding war. We sold it a few days later for more that the asking price without ever having to list it. We believe that the staging that Mary Beth did was the reason the house presented so well. It is a well designed house by itself, but the interior staging Mary Beth did completely highlighted the benefits and drew attention away from less desirable aspects.
