We have renewed faith in Moving Companies thanks to Gentle Giant. Have moved with many moving companies over the years local and interstate and been everything from disappointed to defrauded. Not with Gentle Giant. This is the most ethical service oriented fair priced and customer friendly company we have ever dealt with period. From holding to their estimate to sending in professional skilled movers to help us carefull pack our family belongings to helping us declutter so we could sell our home at the best possible price to transporting and unloading while allowing us to have the time we needed to find and close on a new home, GG was unbelievably accomodating. It felt like we were working with a close friend at every step. Matt in the Boston Area was generous and fair with his time, Andrius provided leadership to his team and a level of caring for our belongings that I had never seen before. As an example of their level of dedication and honesty, at one point during our move, unbeknownst to us, a desktop pen and penicl holder was damaged during packing. When we arrived in CA after our move from MA, we found a package waiting for us. We opened it to find a new desktop pen and pencil set, of the exact same brand in the package. We could not figure out who or why this was sent. When our goods arrived weeks later, it was explained that there had been an accident during packing, and the original set was damaged. BEFORE WE EVEN KNEW THIS HAD HAPPENED, GG REPLACED THE SET WITH A BRAND NEW VERSION!!! We were so impressed. The rest of our goods arrived without a blemish, on time and delivered by Andrius, who had personally driven our belongings across country and then unloaded with a team who worked harder than imaginable to unpack us within record time. We will probably never have such a big move again, but whenever we do move in the future, local or interstate, Gentle Giant is the only company will ever use. If you need to move, do not look anywhere else. They were very competitive in their pricing, but most importantly, there were no hidden costs. They did exactly what they said they would do, and then went above and beyond.

They were very good. They helped me find someone to help move me. I was very impressed with them. They were very professional. I would use them again.

It went very well. Because the move was complicated, packing was difficult. I was also packing and sorting while they packed. Given the circumstances, they did an incredible job. The owner, Michael helped me find a company to move a relatively small amount of things to VA. Michael also helped me deal with some problems I had with the company.

The best price, the best service. They did not break one thing and that has never happened to me before. The driver was professional and very accommodating. From the first person who gave me the estimate, to Marlene the coordinator, to the packers, and finally to the driver and his helpers, they were fantastic. Their price was half the price of one quote and $3,000. less than another. They are agents for Atlas Van Lines and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Everything was excellent.

They were very responsive and puntual to give me an on-site estimate. Their pricing was fair and they were willing to keep their bid competitive by adjusting their price to meet the quotes of their competitors. The workers showed up on time, were professional, and took directions well. They took care to protect everything that was being moved and picked up additional property at a storage unit. They were pretty expeditious in getting everything loaded and moved to the third and final destination in Venice. The experience was good overall. They finished under the time that was estimated. My only problem with them is that they started with 5 workers and ended the move using only 4 workers. This affected the timeline of the project and I may have paid less if 5 workers stayed for the whole move.

They were awesome from start to finish! Their planning team was efficient, gracious and very responsive. They advised me about everything from city parking rules for the moving vans to the best way to pack antiques. On moving day, the workers arrived on-time. They were polite, neat and obviously well-trained, handling my family antiques with gentle care and expertise. The movers placed each piece of furniture exactly where I wanted it and left my home clean and tidy. If I move again, I will definitely call Gentle Giant - they are the best moving and storage company I've ever used!

They were great, took excellent care of packing, numbering and moving fragile things as well as a grand piano. I'm sure the price would have been lower had I been better prepared. Ray seemed to be in charge directing the other guys, he was very patient and articulate about my needs and concerns.

Estimator was good, all information accurate, total was less than estimated. Price included move-out from storage (monthly storage extra, but storage price very competitive). Crew was on time, friendly, very good at packing up fragile items like stone tops of cabinet, protecting antiques, etc.

Everything went very well except for a few "minor things." Minor problems were: 1) They refused to move all of my cactus plants that were on the balcony. It took me about 10 minutes to convince them to move one cactus planter in particular without great effort or risk. Had to show them that if plant was taped with strong tape, the plant could be moved with no problem. 2) I requested that they move the bicycle to my new location, and they apparently forgot to do that. 3) In moving certain items in elevator of new residence they broke overhead plastic cover, and the condo association charged me $30 to replace it.

These guys were pretty decent. I was pleased with their service. They were right on target with the estimate.

They were very punctual. The services were provided exactly as described. They always showed up on time on the day of packing as well as on the day of the move.

After the move, we discovered a missing box of very expensive designer clothing, almost 5K worth, we had a damaged file cabinet and broken glassware. We filed the extensive claim form and paperwork, which included before and after photos of the damaged cabinet. We were shocked when 100% of the claim was denied, we sought help from the state who could not help, as the movers are self insured. The move went okay but they ended up costing us closer to 8K rather then 3, they gave us a hard time about the storage stop we paid for, it was raining and they tracked up the house with mud which meant getting all the carpets cleaned. This is a company with no integrity or any interest in customer satisfaction. I guess they figure they don't need repeat business. I have never bought insurance hoping to use it, I would rather my things have made it there, but to then have them say too bad was appalling. Do not use this company.

The packing was phenomenal. Derrick and Rafael did a great job and everything arrived in one piece. The loading on to the truck went quickly although 2 items were left behind, 1 in my house and the other item from inside the house was left on my patio. The unloading of the truck was not as satisfactory. They were in a hurry and seemed to want to leave before everything was put in the correct rooms. One of the men was messy in my bathroom which irritated me and I didn't know until after they left.

Excellent job. Did what they said they would do and then some!

Dwight and his team were excellent, friendly, caring, and efficient. Everything was protected, including stairway, carpeting, hardwood floors and walls. Dwight was responsive with any issues, concerns and questions. Dwight made sure my plasma TV's, glass cabinets and leather furniture were fully protected for the move. His team made absolutely sure that all items were being placed per our directions.

Their technical skills were excellent; we did not have a single item damaged. The office staff and the two younger members of the crew were friendly and helpful. The driver and his assistant were curt and impatient and unprofessional. They left tools and material and equipment at our old home. They missed loading items that they were reminded about more than once. They dropped lamp bulbs on the carpet and left them there. They had to be reminded to remove carpet protector, and to reconnect appliances. They stacked heavy cartons on top of boxes clearly marked "Fragile." They did not clean up, or did poor clean-up. On the final checks, instead of accompanying us, they lounged around the van; if we found something that needed to be done, we had to go get them and take them back to point it out. They refused to help in disposal of trash, as had been promised by the salesman. They made us feel as though we were working for them.

We were very pleased with all aspects of Gentle Giant. The two guys who packed our stuff were polite, efficient, helpful, and careful. Absolutely everything made the move undamaged. Eduardo and his cheerful two-man crew did the actual loading, driving, and unloading. They, too, were speedy but careful. It took them two and a half hours to move all of our belongings (from an overstuffed two bedroom bungalow in Venice) into the truck. The highlight was their herculean effort loading our dogs' luxurious dog house, which involved lifting it over a 6' fence. They unloaded everything at our new house just as speedily and carefully as they had loaded stuff in Venice. My wife and I were completely satisfied with the service provided by Gentle Giant.

I would recommend them.

3 movers arrived on time. Some pieces were damaged, a few beyond repair during the move. Despite having bought the insurance, we did not make a claim because the crew had a deductible that would come out of their pocket and would have to pay a few hundred dollars. This put us in a very awkward position and out not a small amount of money. The crew was very friendly and worked hard to meet any requests we had.

Eduardo came on time with his crew and was very professional, courteous and very helpful. Anything I asked to be done was done. The entire crew worked quietly, quickly and were very helpful and courteous, they never slowed down or stopped working. They were done wrapping all the furniture and had it all loaded in 2 -1/2 hours, unbelievable! They unloaded and set all the furniture according to a layout design my son had drawn up. They covered all the carpeted areas before moving anything in. I was so impressed. This company is excellent. I recommend them to anyone who wants quality work completed. For me, quality work and a quality work crew is priceless.

The move went very smoothly and they made it a very pleasant experience.

The people on the phone were friendly and informative. They were supposed to have sent me my bill of lading in the mail but I didn't get it until after the move. But the price I was charged was what I had been quoted, which was a relief! The movers were a half-hour early, but waited to start until I was ready. The two movers were very polite and efficient. They were careful about asking me what to take and what not to take, which was important because I was leaving a great deal of stuff behind. They were careful with my furniture and my plants. They were very fast! I was about fifteen minutes behind them when I arrived at my new home and they were already more than halfway through unloading. I thought they did a very good job. The price was $335 which includes $84 travel charge. I tipped the guys $30 each. (The company had recommended $20 each tip, but only if I wanted to). I recommend this moving company.
