initially $400 for the labor via Angies List Deal-I was quoted an addition $1800 to run a cable to fuse box. Finally, I told him to just put it on the wall and for two screws he tried to charge me $50, This was on a second appointment after literally forgot about the first appointment we made.

Initially installed 2 units not in code compliance for distance to walls, but came back and made corrections quickly.

Perfectly. On time, neat, work done as agreed.

It went great! Matt had the tools to complete the job and it took about 30 minutes. He did bring a helper. (Using a ladder is a two person job ) He cleaned up the work areas threw way the old light put old but still working fan on the front lawn and was off. This was my second time using Matt.

Matt did an excellent job replacing our ceiling fan. He took the old one down and replaced it with the new one we had purchased.

Matt did an excellent job. He provided a good bid, supported our installation schedule, worked extremely hard and well and delivered the improved functionality that we needed. He modified our basic wiring to support the installation and the unique switch functionality that we needed. Matt used his electrical expertise to deliver a safe, yet minimally disruptive and costly installation.

Over a period of a couple months I placed about 6 calls to Matt's business/mobile number, leaving a message each time. None of the calls was returned, and we have hired another electrician to do both jobs. Over the years we have had a number of tradesmen not respond to requests to do work, presumably because when they have work they don't take time to talk to new prospective customers. This is an unheard of practice in more professionally run businesses, but we had hoped Matt would be different. Not so much.

The price I paid may not reflect the actual cost of similar services, because I changed the job parameters after booking the service, but I thought the price I paid was fair for the work that was done, and I'd definitely use this provider again.

Matt was friendly and capable.  He had good ideas.   However, the reason he is getting such a low rating from me is that it was very difficult to get him to finish anything.   He was generallly very pleasant to work with, but it just became so frustrating to work with him, because he was unreliable about showing up.  He'd often tell me he was coming, and then not show up, and not tell me that he wasn't coming until I called or texted him to ask him where he was.   He would start jobs, then tell me he was coming back? and I would need to text or call him repeatedly (sometimes as many as 6 times over a period of 2 weeks) to persuade him to return.  
Another thing:  when he knows an inspector is going to check the work, it's good.  A few times, we found things that weren't right (and not being inspected).  He always fixed them when we pointed them out. 
He is friendly and cheerful.  We would have continued working with him, but his unreliability in the scheduling department made us finally give up on him.
 
  

Called Matt in the morning, he happened to be on a job not too far and said he could be over later that day. Matt came over that day, was very friendly and professional. I was very pleased with Matt's work and would use his services again.

He looked at my mother's oven and found that the oven was not properly plugged in the outlet during installation. He plugged in the oven at no cost.
My mother asked him for an estimate for the installation of some exterior lighting. He said her will contact her with his figures later. He never called back.

It went great. Matt gave me an estimate, which my husband and I approved. We agreed on a date and he showed up on time and did the work as agreed. He even continued to work as it rained, which I did not expect him to do!. Finished when he said he would and kept us informed during the time he was doing the work. I could not have had a better experience and will definitely use him again for our recessed lighting.

Matt was quick to get back to me and came right out and solved our problem. Showed me the issue, talked me through it and helped me get things set back up. Price was right for the help! I would use him again if the need arose.

Matt was prompt and courteous. He saw that the transfer switch (a fuse box with an outlet that is wired to the house's main fuse box, so you can run a generator directly to the house current instead of running extension cords everywhere) I had purchased previously would not work, but he had one that would. He was halfway through the install when he was called away on an emergency. No problem since there was no interruption in electrical service.  He returned the next day and finished up.  He is knowledgeable and efficient. He cleaned up before he left. I will use him again.

We hired Matt Comer to do some electrical work around the house and found him to be easy going, courteous and knowledgeable about his work.  He always took the time to explain things and made sure his work was safe/to code.  And he cleaned up after himself which I definitely appreciate!  His rates are reasonable which is a plus. If you are in the South Bay and need an electrician, Matt's your guy!

We called the day after Thanksgiving expecting to wait until Monday for service. Matt answered the phone, came over immediately and had us up and running in less than 5 minutes! He was a blessing on a holiday weekend. Our new panel was never explained to us correctly and has a trip switch that has to be pushed very hard to the right to reset. We thought we had reset it but had not. He was very nice, thorough, fair, honest and everything you want in an electrician. His charge was reasonable for coming out so quickly and getting us up and running without a hitch.
We will definitely be keeping him on our list of favorites. He lives very close to our home and would be great for anyone in our area since he is familiar with the homes and electrical systems in these houses.
