They have friendly service, and the building is brand new.  I typically wait no more than 10 minutes to be seen when I arrive.

I am back at work and 90% back to old self. Still will need iron transfusions to get back to a normal red blood count; I expect in 3 months or so. Best part has been COMPLETE lack of hospital bills as am double covered @ Kaiser by own job and wife's job both being Kaiser HMO plans. My only expense has been OTC meds.
New inpatient hospital nearing completion early 2015 should make place even better.

Checking in Is fairly easy. Present ID card to kiosk, use credit card for co-pay. Follow signs to doctors location.

Allow routine evaluations; temperature, weight, height, blood pressure, answer routine health related questions.

Short wait, see the relevant doctor, discuss reason for visit. Doctors and health technicians seen have all been pleasant

and congenial.

They were fine. They were very good. They gave pretty much full service. I never had any problem with them. The staff was fine. I didn't notice any special but no problem. It takes a little while to get just a check-up appointment. Urgent care is very good.

I've been a patient of Dr. Jordan's for 18 years and she remembers everything about me, even if I haven't been in for a long time. She takes as much time as I need (probably why her availability/punctuality gets a B!) and is generous with referrals, etc. She is an all-around classic general practitioner like they were before medicine became big business.

I like that they are cheap, I don't like that they are an HMO so you always to wait and get referrals to other doctors.

We have insurance with Kaiser. We go to Kaiser in Harbor City. My last appointment with Kaiser Permanente was last month, and actually I do have an appointment with them on the 28th of this month. I was seeing them almost every week, as I had a surgery and they did a really good job. I like the fact that everything is there, and that you do not have to drive anywhere. The lab is there. The pharmacy is right there. Everyone there is very respectful. Overall, the doctors are really nice. The great thing is their service, because you can e-mail the doctors and the nurse or the doctor himself will get back to you that same day. It is quick to get an appointment as well. I had trouble, I did not know my blood sugar was high until they monitored that also. They remind you to come in and get some blood work done so that they can monitor whatever you may have. Because I have a history of diabetes in my family, they provided even classes to make me understand what I am eating and what may have been the cause to my blood sugar being high, and that I have to maintain it or I will have diabetes. They are really good at reminding you. They are very professional. They are very clean. At Kaiser Permanente everyone introduces himself. I like their getting to know the patients. Even when you check in the person who checks you in informs you "my name is Lilia and I am helping you today. I will be checking you in. If there anything else you need please let me know." We have used Kaiser before, but I think their service and their facility is amazing now. They have expanded so much and there is everything there. They have dermatology, and everything. My thyroids are giving me a problem as well and so that is why I am going in to get a scan. They are very thorough about explaining to you what the process is and what you need to do. They even send reminders in the mail, and instructions to you. I really like this facility. The surgeon I had was noninvasive and it was supposed to be an outpatient surgery. I was supposed to only go into their outpatient clinic, but for my safety the doctor said that if I bled too much he did not have the equipment there to control it. So my surgery was actually at the hospital, which I was very surprised that he had done that for me. So you can tell that they really care.

We get the best medical treatment that I have ever had in my life from Kaiser; it is unbelievable. That's not only the primary care physician that I see but also every specialist that I have had to deal with. I have had gall bladder surgery and all kinds of problems but they are quick to diagnose what the problem is and then fix it. They look to preventive medicine and trying to catch things as soon as they happen. In fact, my lung cancer was stage 1A and had not even spread to a lymph node when they caught it. Dr. Carol Taira is our primary care physician. She is a fantastic doctor who makes you feel like she is the only patient she has in spite of the fact that she is exceedingly busy. Unfortunately she is not taking additional patients. I can't think of one negative. Kaiser Permanente has the lowest overhead of any HMO in Southern California and it shows in their treatment. I am a member and participant in their diabetes clinic and I am in touch with them about every 2 weeks.

I have no problems with them. Dr. Sihotang is a wonderful physician; he is a general practitioner. I believe that part of the healing experience is building up trust in the relationship. We found that Dr. Sihotang and his nurse are caring people. He cared for my mother-in-law until she passed last year. We had always heard horror stories about Kaiser. I waited a long time to join them but I did join them because I could go there for free, with no co-pays. My mother-in-law was going there and she was getting wonderful care. I found that I had been wrong about them all this time. I questioned my doctor and the nurse about the reputation and they said that it used to be that way and that they said they worked hard to improve it. They are wonderful and they treat us with respect. They are on top of the health care. I am impressed that every aspect of my health care is on the computer and there are no mistakes. When I get a new prescription it is reviewed in conjunction with the medications that I am currently taking. I get calls to remind me about my blood pressure and other things. They stay on top of things, not in a hounding way, but in a caring fashion that really keeps an eye on my health. I have nothing but praise. I have told many people that I was wrong. I recommend them to everyone I see. The value has been outstanding. I have even seen my drug prescription bill go down; that's amazing. A 90-day supply of meds is only $4. I can't say enough good things about them. I was having some health issues right after I joined and they were right on top of it. We went through systematic testing to see what was wrong with me and the whole experience was very good and respectful. I don't feel like I'm a person in line. They are good at punctuality and the office environment is professional. The bedside manner can't get any better. I use them all the time.

They seem wonderful. I have gone to this same doctor about 30 years now. I know him and I know he is good. They have done surgery on my foot. The doctor's name I go to there for Podiatry is Dr. Stihrs. He takes time with you which is really ice. He is very thorough, is friendly, and know what he is doing. He is always in a good mood. I am really happy with him. It's tough to get in to see him.

As usual, it went well and Dr. Terrell was helpful in answering all questions.

I have been taking my mom to Dr. John Terrell for the past 2-3 years, if not more and he has been wonderful. As her ophthalmologist, he has provided treatment and done 3 surgeries. Her eyes are better for it. He answers all your questions and never rushes you. He is the reason I switched to Kaiser myself.

They are very, very good. I also have used them for eye surgury - for that they were perfect. My eyes were slightly crossed, they said that there was a 70% chance that it would be perfect and it was. They are very service oriented, however, they are both an insurance company and a medical provider. The insurance part is not good, but the medical side is very good. All generic medicare prescriptions cost $5.00 per month and a $10 purchase by mail order will get you a 3 months supply, which you can't beat.

I have used them for eye glasses as well - they estimate delivery at 1-2 weeks, but actually takes up to 3 weeks.

I recently switched to Kaiser from Health Net and I am glad I did. As a whole, Kaiser's integrated health care system is well organized and accessible. It's such a comfort knowing I can contact my doctors when I need and they respond. Before, I could only speak to my doctors if I made an appt and my messages never got relayed. Now I am able to avoid unnecessary office visits and get prescriptions taken care of just with an email to Kaiser. If you need a pulmonologist, I am going to Dr. Michael Moon who has been helpful. My asthma has been uncontrolled this year and he has worked with me to find the right medication. I have especially appreciated his direct and prompt responses to me via Kaiser's message feature online. I would recommend Kaiser if you want accessible healthcare.

They are comprehensive. Everybody can key my information into the computer and know what medications I am taking, what has been done for this problem in the past, etc. The right hand always knows what the left hand is doing. Everybody knows what is going on. I like that a lot. With other HMOs, I have to get approval before I can do anything. Excepting some areas that I have to have a referral for, I can pretty much take an appointment right away with them for most specialties. They had a big push recently to improve their clerks' way of greeting. They have done a good job of that. If I have some questions, I can ask the doctor. If I am not happy with the doctor, I can choose a different one that fits my needs well. I advised a friend who was unhappy with their doctor to choose another doctor. They are very big on preventative medicine. They encourage testing ahead of time so that they can find out things that are wrong. They call ahead and remind me of my mammogram, etc.
