A few days ago I went to turn on the bathroom light and the power went out in 3 rooms. I checked the circuit breakers and noted that none were tripped. I checked the light switch and reset the circuit breakers but still had no power. I then realized that I had a major short somewhere that required a professional electrician. I first tried HomeAdvisor.com but they gave me referrals over 10 miles away and I know there are many closer by. When I signed up for Angie's List I was given a number of electricians nearby and decided to try Horst K Electric. By the way, I was calling on a Friday morning and found a number of electricians closed Fridays but not Horst K.. Wilman Pozo (associate owner) came out Monday afternoon at the appointed time and I took him to the main circuit breaker box. He tested all the breakers and noted that all were fine. I then took him inside to the light switch that caused the short and he checked that. Wilman asked me if I had done any electrical work recently and I told him about a ceiling light fixture that had just given me trouble while changing a light bulb. When he checked that fixture he found a short that was behind all of my problems. Ten minutes later my power was restored! Another small problem that had been bothering me for years was an outdoor light above the back door. There was a short preventing it from working and Wilman discovered that it was also wired to an outdoor light on the side of the garage that had never been used. After disconnecting it from that circuit I now have a back door light that will make it easier to get into the house at night. I have never had to call an electrician before and Wilman charged me only $80 for his time.

My experience with Horst was fantastic! Horst contacted me about what I needed done (circuit breaker kept tripping) and sent Francisco out to investigate. Francisco quickly figured out what needed to be done and had me all fixed up in no time. I won't hesitate to recommend Horst Electric to any of my friends.

He is all around a great electrician; we like him very much. He is very reliable and his pricing is fair. We would recommend him. He came out twice on his own because he had some other electric issues; he had to add more power and so forth. Apparently his son has an electric company too but we cannot speak for his son. We are going to use him again to expand our power capability, so he has been here twice on his own time for consulting us without charging us. We trust his advice and he knows his stuff. He is very personable as well. He came in with two men and did the hook up within a day's notice; they took half an hour and charged us $100 which is the minimum charge. We have not had any problem with the quality of his work; he is very professional.
