Bennett Landscape

Our patio has been in for approximately 2.5 months. We have gotten compliments on its appearance. However, as homeowners we have a number of concerns. 1) The patio is not level in areas, causing seating and table placement to be tricky. 2) A major problem was that the irrigation was not initially set properly, causing plants to die, and they are just coming back to health. One seems damaged beyond hope. 3) We put in a rectangular fire pit. The company ordered a round gas element for it which made no sense. Getting the correct type of gas element put the schedule back, and we wound up having to do the research to find the correct element. 4) The communication with the company began well as did the scheduled work. However, the communication gradually deteriorated as did the attention to the schedule. Luckily, we had given ourselves a buffer for an important family event that was to take place in our backyard. Overall, I would give the experience a B at this time. Since the plantings are guaranteed for a year and since the patio has not been subjected to rain to determine how it will perform regarding puddling and drainage, I will update this review as necessary.

I'm so pleased I went with Bennett Landscaping. Not only was the quality of work high and professional, but the customer service was top rate. Even though I had a design plan, I had been putting off the implementation work because of a few bad experiences with other landscapers (not showing up: Fujimoto Landscaping). Bennett made the entire experience painless. The crew was professional and thoughtful. I look forward to working with Bennett again. I recommend them without hesitation!

Landscaping went well.  Much soil removed from rear to level yard.  Block planters built to replace very old wooden planters.  Completely new sprinkler system installed.  New lawn.  It took about two weeks to complete the job.  Very satisfied.  I then contracted for weekly service which is ongoing to this day.

So far it has been really good. We subsequently found he was very well known in the area. He was very good. We were very impressed with him. He was fabulous. For $100 an hour, he designed our front and back and I got him to give me three potential vendors including Bennett. I had all three of them give me quotes and they were all in the same ballpark about $5000 to do the job, not the hardscape though. It was a different job. We decided not to do the hardscape. We picked Bennett but they are not quite finished yet but this week they would probably finish up and so far they did a nice job. The biggest issue was their responsiveness. We needed the job done by the fifth October because we had a big event here in our house and we signed the contract with them on Sept 22 or 29th and they put in the contract that it would be done by the 5th but it wasn't. It was a disaster, dirt everywhere and it was a mess. So my wife was very unhappy. It was bad but they came on the 7th and they fixed everything. It is just that they ran out of time. They didn't show up until a day before we needed it done and they had two or three weeks and I kept calling them during that time to see when they were coming. I was worried and they said, they would come and it would take them only a day, well it didn't. They just didn't support us on time and they know it. The price was good because the other two estimates were about the same. They were very professional. Their lead guy and their workers were all very good but they still couldn't finish it.

They are very professional, very polite and got back to me probably within a week or two with the estimate.

They were fine as far as I can tell.

It has been an overall excellent experience. We plan to use them when we redesign our front and back yard.

We've consistently used them for six years. They are top notch. We pay $150 a month and they come every Wednesday. They are famous in Palos Verdes and they are very, very reputable.

They are very professional. They follow through and they perform great work. Overall, the company has a great attitude towards the work they perform and they are very trustworthy. They have a great work ethic.

I hired Bennett to get my lawn back into shape. How difficult could it be to grow grass in a very small lawn. They made lots of promises and said they would follow up. They never did until I got tired and fired them after waiting for them to take care of things after 6 month. Also part of my contract was for them to check my sprinklers. I asked 4 times before they came out,that too, only after I sent a letter I didn't need their services anymore. Or lack of service I should say.

I thought they were really expensive. They are such a big company and it took over a week to get the estimate, which I don't know if that was standard. I told them I didn't want anything extra like pruning or chemicals, but when I got the estimate that stuff was included and it was $170. I had to go back to them and ask them to readjust it and that took another week and it was still almost double what it should be. They were professional and friendly and sent me a nice estimate via email, I just felt like they were way over priced.

They are excellent! They are responsive and are wonderful! I'll definitley continue to use them.

They are very thorough and do a good job. They see what needs to be done and just do it. They don't need to be told what to do. They are polite and friendly.

VERY RELIABLE. EXCELLENT WORK. USUALLY SEND THREE TO FOUR WORKERS AND THEY ARE VERY EFFICIENT. RESPOND QUICKLY TO ADDITIONAL REQUESTS.

THE SOD LOOKS VERY NICE AND IT LOOKS SEAMLESS. BOTH FRONT AND BACK LAWNS LOOK GOOD. THE WORKERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL IN THEIR MANNER. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE WAY THE DID THE JOB.

THIS COMPANY WAS VERY PROMPT TO COME AND GIVE US AN ESTIMATE AND THE PRICE WAS GREAT. THEY CAME AND IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME HAD OUR SYSTEM UP AND RUNNING.
