We had a broken roof tile last winter, allowing water into the garage. We tarped the area and waited for the dry season to fix. We called two roofing outfits in Groveland (we prefer to do business with locals, if possible). It took a few weeks for Tim Durland to return the call, as he explained he was out of town on a job. When he did call (on a Saturday), he offered to come over in 15 minutes and evaluate our problem. He showed up promptly and quoted $50 to fix the roof. After making the repair, he did a complete inspection of the roof, found several other cracked tiles and replaced them. One corner piece required some carpentry to correct the bad initial installation. Though he did not have the appropriate flashing with him, he recommended that we protect an air pipe from one bathroom with flashing -- he said he would procure the part and install later. He stuck to his quote of $50, but we gave him $100.
