I can't recommend California Solar enough. They are consummate professionals, from sales to office staff to installers to service people. I've dealt with them on 2 of my own solar installations, and I know them from 2 friends' installations (who also recommend them). They listened to my needs and requirements, put together a proposal and explained it, answered all my questions, and then painlessly shepherded the project through both the permitting and the utility company. When it came time for installation, they did truly beautiful work and totally respected my property and wishes. And I was kept informed all through the project from inception to final walkthrough.

From when we called to ask initial questions through the final walk-through, the sales, field and office staff were punctual, professional, intelligent and really pleasant to have in/on our home.

We were interested in limiting our carbon footprint and tired of being "accosted" in the big box stores by a big solar representative.  We preferred better customer service and the purchase option (rather than the rip-off lease option).  We interviewed two smaller, local companies and decided, hands-down, that California Solar Electric Co. from Grass Valley, CA was for us.

The representative that came to our house educated us to make an informed decision on the equipment we wanted/needed and offered multiple finance options.  The office staff were always available to answer questions or help with solutions. 

The install crew couldn't have been any nicer -- boy scouts with beards!  They were always polite and respectful and genuinely enjoyed their jobs. That gave us satisfaction in knowing that our equipment was installed as if it was in/on their own home.

I know there had to be multiple calls or correspondence to obtain county permits and interconnection with PG&E.  Because California Solar Electric Co. is the project manager, all of those (annoying) details were handled!

It is incredibly refreshing to deal with a smart young group of people who are working in a worthwhile business.

Sales process very professional. Installers polite and cleaned up after. Process explained start to finish. Follow up, install and start of operation to ensure proper knowledge and answer any questions.

In meeting with them to discuss solar, they were very helpful and knowledgeable, having all the answers to the many questions we had. In deciding how large a system to go with, they were willing to work with us on the price to help us stay within our budget and still provide a system that would mostly eliminate our monthly electric bill. And when they came to install the system, the crew that did the work were quick and efficient, and did a really nice job, leaving everything clean.  They were done in less than the expected time and came back a couple of times to give us information on monitoring the system and answer a few new questions that came up. We are very glad we went with them.
