We had not cleaned some of our parents? house?s skylights in years, and it?s 35-year old windows have been subjected to quite a bit of weather with the two-story house being perched on top of a canyon hill.  We needed non-DIY help for the first time in our lives, and a voicemail left on their phone one hour had an estimate in our hands the next, for about half the cost we deperados were expecting to pay with our somewhat-sudden move-out situation.  We were offered a variety of times and dates within the next week to have our lives changed?
Two professionally-clad young men arrived with work belts full with tools and biodegradable cleaner.  They worked quietly and efficiently around moving mayhem, potted plants and rockery, distracted extended-family house members, and a large dog concerned about being left behind if he was more than 3-feet away from human contact.  At one point, I was wondering if they had gotten stuck prying out a screen (yes, they remove and wash separately the screens AND clean the tracks) on the upper story, it was so quiet, but when I checked, they were hard at it, cleaning away on the rooftop.
I think I need squeegee lessons.  How they made these windows so clean, I will probably never understand.  No blaring music, no grunting or swearing, and the friendly gentlemen even shared some fun stories with us while continuing their work.  Within 3 ½ hours, they had 51 windows (six eight-foot garden room sliding doors), their screens, and six skylights sparkling - I had a hard time getting back to sleep in the middle of the night with the full Red Moon shining through from above.  Our family was commenting on how nice they made the house look for days afterward, it was so hard not to notice the difference the professional cleaning made, even in the midst of our turmoil of activity.
We DIY?ers ? I?m talking about the kind that replace their own vehicle transmissions ? are SOLD on professional window cleaning and Blu Sky.  It makes me want to move to Nevada County?

.I called to make an appointment with Blu Sky on a Monday and Alyssa called me back the same day. She made an appointment to my windows on Wednesday the same week.  A crew of two men arrived at the agreed upon time. They were very polite and professional. They wore booties over their shoes to protect my floor from their shoes. I was worried that I might be wasting my money because rain was forecast but I was assured by one of the men that if my windows developed spots from a rain the next day that Blu Sky would come out and fix any spots that developed. I think there is a limit as far as how long that guarantee extends but I was just concerned about the next two days. After a half hour the owner of the business, Alyssa, also arrived at our house and helped with the cleaning.
 I asked a lot of questions about what products they were using to clean with and what techniques worked the best. They answered all my questions down to the brand names for the tools and soap. Alyssa explained why I was having such trouble getting the windows clean when I washed them myself. She also explained that it would be easier for me to get them clean now that they had been professionally cleaned. They removed some over-spray paint and detergent left from the Windex cleaner I usually used. She told me how to wipe out spots (with alcohol) when they occur in the future. She gave me a few special cloths to use to clean the windows in the future. They inspected all the double pane windows for failure and showed me two windows with broken seals that I was unaware of. As they worked I decided to add to the number of windows I wanted them to clean and they agreed right away to stay and do the extra windows.
My windows look great!!! Sparkling clean which makes the whole house look 100% better. At the end I discovered that she gives a 10% discount to senior citizens. I would definitely use this company again.
