Not well, from the very beginning Mr Chai tried to cheat me, our contract called for stripping sealer and polish from tile and grout and he did not do that. He only polished the upstairs bath, hallway and staircase steps and tried to swindle me passing the area off as having been stripped, sealed and polished. Down stairs I had already stripped most of the tile, he was to complete the stripping of both tile and grout, unfortunately he did not strip the grout that was mushy due to the stripping solution used; he instead sealed and polished the dirt right into the tile and grout. The result on close inspection was crud in most of the grout lines... it wasn't as readily noticeable with the high gloss polish on it but on close inspection. Mr Chai had lied to me, cheated me and was premeditated as he had told me that he would be bringing 3 men with razor blades to do the job and that it had to be hand stripped. He indicated that the cost was $900 because there was a lot of edges/corners to strip by hand. At the end of the first work day and upon inspection of the upstairs and staircase I shook my head and let Mr Chai know that I was aware that the floor tile and grout had not been stripped and had only been polished, Mr Chai and his worker half hazardous started stripping the sealer and polish from the staircase steps. They said that they would return to complete strip the tile/grout; each time they returned it was another issue, more pitting on my tile, they would clean parts of the grout and leave the rest dirty it was a real mess. There is an order to how this job should have been done, Mr Chai after sealing/polishing my downstairs tile was now stripping the grout and the stripping solution and dirt was now getting on the freshly polished tile. The pics he will send are when he initially completed the job not from the return visits, I have hundreds of pics but can not seem to load very many. Needless to say that I had to re strip/ clean/ seal and polish the entire area after having stripped it once before. Mr Chai sealed my patio tile and grout still dirty with indoor polish. There are many other issues I could point out but I have tried to submit this review 3 times without success and have had to rewrite it.

I was able to reach Chris (the owner) by phone right away. He came out (promptly - in fact, he was 20 minutes early) to give me an estimate. We set up a service appointment. His two workers were very prompt, professional, and quick. They finished the entire job in two hours and cleaned up after themselves. The shower, sinks, granite and marble all look beautiful.

Everything went well. Chris came on time with his workers and he then came back and checked the job. I am very happy with the results.

Chris showed up on time for the estimate and was very knowledgeable and helpful in providing me answers to some of the sealing questions I had about the tile and brick that I recently had installed by another contractor. He gave me a written estimate on the spot, and we were able to book an appointment fairly quickly given his booked schedule. Due to weather we had to reschedule, but on the rescheduled date of the work Chris' crew showed up on time. Chris also showed up to re-confirm the specifics of the job, and then his crew finished everything in one day. The work his company did on our brick looks amazing, and has made a marked improvement on the look of our brick pathway, driveway and firepit. His crew also cleaned and buffed (there's a more technical term, but I've forgotten it) and grouted some very expensive outdoor cement tile that had been sitting out exposed for several months. They look like new now!

Every Job that Chris and his team has done for me over the years has been excellent. If something wasn't quite done to my specifications, Chris would rectify right away. Marble & Stonelife are an A+ in my book.

The original bullnose to my granite countertop broke off and fell into pieces.  I contacted Marble and Stonelife, they came out and were able to piece together and repair the counter.  They identified a defect from the original contractor and made the repair.   They also repaired and sealed the stone ground surfaces.  Everything looked great; better than the original.  The entire process was a pleasure from start to finish.  I wouldn't hesitate to use them again....

Service and quality of work was fantastic!

Chris was very professional, well-skilled, and on time.  He made a chip in my beautiful granite bar counter-top "disappear"!  He also removed some residue that I wasn't sure could be removed, and cleaned and sealed the granite.  He also re-grouted and cleaned and sealed my granite kitchen counter-top.  It looks "brand new."  Now, my granite looks beautiful again, and will resist water spots, etc., for the next 3 years!  I highly recommend Chris and his company, "Marble & Stonelife."

Very, very nice job. Had a very minor glitch and they came right back and fixed all to my satisfaction.

I have a large outdoor travertine terrace that had many cracked tiles,
missing grout and needed to be resealed. Chris was able to repair or
replace the broken stones, buff it all down to match, replace grout that
was missing, and resealed. My terrace looks brand new. He was on time
for each appointment, cleaned up after they were done, and very
professional. I will need to reseal every few years and will definitely
use him again for that work.

They were great and Chris was able to accommodate a schedule change. They arrived on time and did a great job.

I used Marble and Stonelife because of favorable Angie's List reviews and was not disappointed.  Chris Chai is really into stone. It shows in the pride he takes in his work.  Chris and his helper cleaned, polished and resealed our granite kitchen counters, replaced the caulking that was done incorrectly with grout.  He was able to remove most of the surface scratches but could not get all of them out due to our neglect on our part.  Granite was installed in 2003 and we've done absolutely nothing since then.  He also removed stains and scratches from a marble bathroom vanity that we've also neglected.
We have a 1929 stone tile floor in one bathroom and he was able to clean it and seal it.  We also had him test worn tile in another bathroom.  Although he couldn't restore the damaged tile, he was able to demonstrate that it would be much cleaner once he works on it.  We intend to have him come back and do that work.
His prices are very reasonable and he gives Angie's List members a discount.
I highly recommend Chris.  As long as we have the counters and he stays in business, we intend to have him come back on an annual basis and polish and seal our counters.

Chris came over to clean, seal and do a minor repair on my kitchen counters. Upon arriving, he told me my counters were Caesarstone and the little chips in it would be hard, if not impossible to repair. Instead, he offered to blend in the chips as best as he could, and did a really wonderful job. 
He also removed the caulking around the stone and applied a matching grout. Everything looks fantastic.
Chris was professional and very helpful throughout the process... and also convinced me to go with a natural stone for any of my future kitchen projects. I'd use Chris again without hesitation, and I am very happy I found him here on Angie's List.

Chris was very prompt in contacting me & coming by to provide a quote for the work. He was courteous & professional as were his co-workers. I reached out to Chris after the job regarding a concern. He contacted immediately, came over the same day and made needed adjustments. 
I would not hesitant to use Chris & his team again.

Chris and his team came early and were very professional. The floors were dingy and now are bright. The counters look good too. They used multiple fans to speed the drying of the sealer so we did not have to avoid walking on the floors for too long. They were clearly experiences and cared about the quality of their work.

Chris was did a thorough estimate and was upfront will costs before being hired. He and his crew were punctual and completed all work on time. Our bathrooms, kitchen granite and terrazzo floor all look much better. Chris did a walk through with my wife and I, after they finished, and made sure we were happy with the work done.
