La Mold Inspection

David is extremely professional and experienced. Friendly and reliable, I would trust anything he recommends. He explains everything very clearly and efficiently sets the appointment, arrives on time, takes the samples, provides the results and explains "what to do next." I especially like that he doesn't do the remediation himself, so he has no vested interest in recommending more work that is necessary. His prices were in keeping with other estimates, but the work seemed more expert to me.

Had tennants complain a child was suffering from mold in the house. David met me there and performed a series of tests to determine any dangerous levels throughout the house. He was neat, professional, and knowledgeable. He made a point of taking many pictures of the tests being performed as well as of other items in the house he believed may be contributing to someone's allergies. Test results were thorough and specific. I will be using LA Mold Inspection again!

David was great.  He showed up on time, took samples quickly, and was ready to leave in no time at all.  He really put my mind at ease, even taking the time to walk through the rest of the house and point out areas where mold might grow in the future.  It couldn't have been a better experience.  It was worth the price to know for certain that I didn't have a mold "problem."

We had a terrible odor in our bathroom.  We suspected it was mold.  We had them come out and do an inspection, and they said they found no mold.  They didn't even suggest any further, costly testing!!!  How wonderful it is that they were so honest.  It ends up that the problem was some caulking in our shower, which once removed, eliminated the odor.

It was fairly simple stuff and I was satisfied. I would use them again.

David was a consummate professional.  Although he arrived a bit late, he called to notify me of his delay.  Once here, he quickly assessed the situation, efficiently performed the moisture and mold tests (with immediate feedback on the former), and followed up soon after with an email report of my mold results. Not only that, but the man did me an extra solid by dropping me off at my car repair shop (which happened to be on his way back home). All in all I was completely satisfied with LA Mold Inspection and would recommend them without hesitation.

It was easy to schedule LA Mold Inspection Company. I thought that they really weren’t very thorough in their follow up. I’m not sure why they charged me $450. They came out with their tools and took some reading. They then gave me a call a week later saying that there was no bad mold in the house. It’s not like I got a substantial report from them. They didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the house. They were here for may be a half hour. I just feel like they were little overpriced for the service that we got. It wasn’t a thorough service but may be that’s how it was supposed to be, I’m not very sure. They didn’t check under the house or on the roof so it didn’t take them very long. It’s not the kind of service one gets done every day. However, if I had to I would consider them. They are close by and convenient. They were professional too. So I probably would use them in the future at least to get an estimate.

I had mold growing on a back bedroom wall and in a closet following a leak along the baseboards.  Although I had already cleaned the area and installed a dehumidifier, I was concerned that the mold would reappear once the rug was back down and the furniture up against the wall again.  David was recommended by another company; he came and took air samples to determine what type of mold I had and what I should do about it.  He took three samples - one from the bedroom, one from the crawlspace under the house, and one from outside to determine base rate levels.  He was courteous and knowledgeable, and encouraged me to wait and not do anything drastic until the results were in (I was considering ripping open the back wall to see what was inside, refinishing the floor, etc.).  Although it took awhile to receive the results due to some email confusion, David was responsive to my concerns and told me (happy news) that I had no toxic mold and that a good HEPA air filter would probably do the trick.  I'm glad I called him and would do so again if needed.

I was very pleased with them. They were honest and fair in their prices.

David was great. He was punctual, friendly, and funny. He explained everything to us and answered any questions we had. He was very objective and honest. Our inspector told us that the dry wall might need to be removed due to mold, but David's inspection probably saved us a lot of hassle and wasted time. Would definitely recommend him.

David was on time and called me to confirm the day before the appointment and the day of the appointment. He was fast, thorough, and helped me understand the procedures and what to expect. He was also willing to talk to our tenants to answer their questions. He kept in contact and called me when the report came back, then emailed a copy of the report to me. I was very happy with his work and would use him again.

I do not know why this company has received such positive reviews. David Harris arrived on time, took a sample, and sent me the results with recommendations via email. However, he hardly looked at the visible mold. He was friendly enough, but he didn't explain what he was doing as he worked so I asked questions. Perhaps "looking" at the mold or explaining his procedure doesn't really affect the overall report/recommendations, but a little communication is just good customer service. When I received his report 5 days later, his recommendations were very "bare-bones" and left me with a few additional questions. I emailed him at once with these questions, and he never responded. I called him three days later and he was helpful, although I got the feeling, at one point, that he was impatient with me. I was especially disappointed when I asked a question about the air purifier which he sells. He told me to "go to their website." [I had already done that.] I can't believe he would send me to a website for info on a product he sells and recommends! He did say he would try to find some info for me, but he never did, and I never heard from him again. I did think maybe he never responded to my email because I sent it, right after receiving his report, on a late Friday afternoon. Also, maybe he would have helped more if I had called. However, now I'm just making excuses for him. He just does not give 100%, and if he doesn't know an answer he seems a bit irritated.

The guy who came for the inspection was great. He came the next day and checked everything out. He was very thorough and his price was reasonable. He took his time and gave me suggestions.

It went great! He was on time, prepared and did a great job. He tested the air inside and outside the house, and he even drilled a hole in the ceiling (the area we suspected had mold) and took a sample from there. He was even kind enough to get me an asbestos sample form the popcorn ceiling so I could test it.

David is very professional and thorough. He followed up very quickly on my original message to him, told me the details of his service and the cost, and we scheduled the appt. David called the day before to confirm the appt and showed up on time. The inspection took approximately 45 minutes to an hour, and he went about conducting his work. I would highly recommend LA Mold Inspection if you think you may have a mold problem. My report came back indicating normal levels of mold in the areas tested and no need for remediation. David seems very honest and did a great job.

David was retained to come to my house to inspect for mold and test if any was found. When he arrived, I showed him where we had seen some. He took swabs and departed. I'm disappointed because there was no inspection. I expected to have a professional assessment of where mold existed throughout the home, testing to determine what I had-if anything, and a professional recommendation on what to do. I got testing services, not a through home inspection. Also, I got an informal e-mail recommendation to a company that a friend of his owns. Finally, I paid $50 to rush the reports-48 hours is what is on the contract. It took four days for me to get them. The same amount of time it would have taken without the rush fee. I also had to chase David to get my reports. It took three phone calls. He said he sent reports via e-mail and they, "must have not gone through". I have a Gmail account and have not had a problem getting documents from any other vendor.

I had a water filtering system put in from a reputable company. As I spent 8 hours at work this filtering system burst and caused a flood in my kitchen area. In addition to the flood, some of my hardwood flooring in areas as far away as 5-6 feet from the filtering system had visible water damage. I called in LA Mold Inspection to give me an estimate for remediation of possible mold damage. David Harris was very thorough in his explanation of what he was doing, what type of mold he thought it might be (he was right) and also went into detail about the particular type of mold. He proved to be extremely knowledgeable. He also convinced me to do a sample test so I could have all the information readily at hand to give to any contractor to perform the services required to get my home back in healthy order. Lab results came back and what David thought it was ended up being confirmed. Since he was out he has also been available for follow up phone calls. He has been an excellent reference for a couple of contractors I had come to my home for service estimates. It has been an absolute pleasure working with David. I would recommend him to anyone needing services in mold inspection.

Went very well. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and helpful. He did what we wanted him to do, got quick lab results, and was always available on the phone for consultation. And, when he wasn't available to do the retest, he recommended another tester who worked out just as well. All in all, if you need mold testing done, you can hire David with confidence.

We were very pleased with their service. It was a pleasure to do business with David. We felt secure with using his expertise. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. I would give him an A+.
