"We would like to take this opportunity to respond to the above review and provide a full explanation to each point, in the order in which they were reviewed. 1.) Ordering of the doors too short: We at Bella View Windows take full responsibility for all of our measurements and installations. We also stand behind all of our measurements and installations. Each time that we come out to measure for a job, we will usually make a second trip out to the home to take more precise measurements. A second trip was made to ensure that the doors were ordered correctly. Furthermore, the customers had come into the showroom on two occasions to look at the door that they would be ordering. The exact door in our showroom is the exact door that they had purchased and the same exact door that was installed in their home. The standard threshold was ordered and is the same threshold that they had looked at in the showroom. The door was ordered to the customer’s specifications. The customer wanted to have a retractable screen which is NOT offered with an ADA threshold door. Furthermore, it was never brought to our attention that this customer required an ADA threshold or would have preferred an ADA threshold door. ADA doors are specially requested doors that Milgard does offer; however, they do not come with screens at all. Regardless of that, the measurement that was needed for that door would remain the same. 2.) Bottom of the door/wood piece: The wood on the bottom of the door was done as a courtesy to help support weight on the sill of the door (to not void their warranty) until the stucco work could be done by the homeowner. The wood can be removed and we would happily do this, however, it will void the warranty as stated previously. We did offer a solution to the customer in regards to the threshold and that was to cut the concrete on the exterior of the door, or, a ramp. We absolutely take responsibility for the door as we always take full responsibility for all of our installations and products that we order. However, we cannot take responsibility for a customer ordering a product that they had looked at multiple times prior to ordering and expressing complete satisfaction with. 3.) Milgard technician: The Milgard technician did state that there was s smaller sill that was available, which is the ADA door. However, as mentioned previously, the main point of the door was to have a retractable screen and the ADA door is not available with any type of screen. The reiterate, ADA doors are usually specifically asked for and we cannot assume that any of customers would need such a door unless it was expressed that this is a need or a concern. We too are disappointed. This review, we feel, is full of slanderous comments. We have always tried to please all of our customers to no end. For example, we noticed that the hardware on this particular door was not working correctly, so we took the parts off of our showroom door and installed them in the Rueben’s door so that they could have a door that locks properly. As with all of our customers, we try our very best to accommodate and please everyone as best as we possibly can. We cannot justify providing a free door to a customer who had looked at the product multiple times and was always very happy when they came into our showroom. Multiple solutions had been offered to help remedy the customer’s complaint. We will continue to provide the highest level of customer service to all of our customers as we always have."
