Matt and team are professional and do quality work on time and within the reasonable quotes they provide. We have had them do fence work at our house in Claremont several times and they do not try to up sell, but also recommend quality designs and materials. And they are darn nice folks, too!

Stump Fence Co. built a truly sturdy, classy, professional gate. Terry Stump came out and measured our opening. We talked about closure, materials, & style. We were uncertain of style, so he suggested that we look online for ideas. We wanted a sturdy gate that matched our house style- and that's what they built. First workers came out with the prepared frame, anchored it deep into the concrete, and then fastened the wood. Additional visits for painting and fitting. We had inquired about a custom gate at several other companies - we weren't taken seriously; one even suggested that we hire a handyman. Stump Fence gave us the classy, professional gate that we wanted. Go with the professional!

Matched the other gates in yard perfectly, including paint. Installers were courteous. I so appreciated that they were good listeners which ensured the job continued to go smoothly. Also welcomed the initial visit to bid the job. Others just wanted a picture of the area sent and measurements. Stump Fence is a class-act operation. If I had any more fencing, I'd go to them. Actually enjoyed writing the check because I am proud of the product.

After having the job quoted, there was a significant delay in starting since the material we wanted had to be shipped in from the East Coast. Stump let us know ahead of time when they would start the job, and the work began on the day that they promised. The job was finished more quickly than I expected. Stump cleaned up after themselves quite thoroughly. One of my neighbors liked the work that Stump did for me (the fences are all on shared property lines), and hired them to do work on their property as well.

It was done quickly and professionally. Workers were responsive, polite and cleaned up afterwards

We knew there would be a delay due to other pending work before our order could be completed. After the agreed upon estimated time, I had to call the company to inquire about the status. However, when the fencing and gates were delivered and installed, we were very happy with the product and the professionalism of the installers. The steel framing very substantial and of higher quality than we expected. If you want good quality and professionalism of installation-this is the place!

Terry and his crew did an excellent job and I'm very happy with my new fence. I had a lot of trees along the fence line that had to be cut down and Terry came over twice to make sure he could work around the tree stumps. He did a great job with all the obstacles and my fence came out beautifully. His workers removed the old fence and even removed and hauled away old pipes that where in the yard. I was very impressed with his professionalism and that of his crew and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

They did a fine job. They came out gave me a bid, it was a fair price for the work done so I hired them.

We had a great experience working with Stump Fence Company for our fence installation. Our recent experiences with other home improvement businesses have not had the same level of professionalism, communication and quality of work as Stump Fence Company.

The installation team was very courteous and arrived on time. Work was done as promised within two days.

The very professional Stump crew repaired the rusted out sections and replaced the posts. I was very impressed with the quality and professionalism of the crew. the welds are not noticeable, the post firmly cemented into place and the new sections were sprayed black to match the rest of the fence. I am happy to recommend them for their work.

Very pleased with the outstanding workmanship of the custom railing. Mr. Stump did a wonder job of creating just what we needed. His crew of installers also were extremely professional especially installing said raining in 100+ degree heat. Highly recommend this company.

EXCELLENTLY! I contacted Stump fence for estimate to repl 300' of backyard fencing and gates. Matt Stump showed up on day and time as promised and we went over details. I wanted to replace wood fencing with vinyl, but asked him to give me estimate of wood also. A few days later, I received estimates, I went with vinyl, and I accepted estimate. Matt gave me a starting date, but Holidays and rain pushed it out a few days, no big deal. His crew showed up the morning promised and started the job. We had a few more delays from rain, but I will say, his crew when here never stopped working, except for lunch, they never stood around talking, texting, etc., they stayed late and never left a mess. They also kept me informed. The job is now complete and my new fence is BEAUTIFUL! The work quality of doing it correctly was demonstrated thru the entire process. I cannot imagine another Company could beat what I experienced, nothing out of place, done as promised. I will recommend Stump Fence in a heartbeat!

Communication with the office went well and punctual. The actual installation was postponed twice, but that was a no issue for me since it was communicated to me in a timely manner. The two workers were fantastic and they cleaned up and removed the old fencing. Can I say again, they cleaned up and the area looked spotless, sooooo Happppppy !!!!

Stump Fence Co were very responsive to my request through Angie's list. Terry came quickly to do an estimate, and then we set a time 2 weeks later. Two days before the allotted time, Terry called to say they could come a day early - that worked for me. So, they came a day early and fitted exactly within my timing constraints. The two workers were very professional. They worked quickly and they asked me questions when needed. They cleaned up every last scrap of work too. Very happy with the work. The quote seemed pricey but on reflection for 2x people for 5 hours plus materials I think it was fine.

Terry, the owner, gave me the quote and answered several questions we had about styles. I didn't get another bid, so I don't know if the price was within reason. The job was scheduled for October 10th. I received a call on the 10th to let me know it would be a day late. The workers arrived on time on the 11th but had to return to the shop because they had not put a core drill on the truck. The 2 workers were very good at there job and the fence was completed in one day. I am very happy with the job. Later on, I called Terry and asked if I could use a 10% coupon from Angies List. He said that I would have to present that before the bid. I asked him for a Senior discount that is on his web site. He said he already discounted it. The bottom line is that this company won't honor any discounts you may have. I tried paying the bill with a credit card and was told that I would be charged 2% more. This was never on the original bid letter. It was on the invoice sent to me after the job. It might be nice for this company to disclose this up front.

Terry Came out personally to provide a quote and measure for the gate and fence. When installation day came, the fence had not been made per his instructions on the work order so he came out and verified then took the gate back to have it corrected. The crew worked on the side yard fence and gate that day. They returned the very next day and installed the gate. Very good workmanship and very good communication from Stump Fence.
