SENEL INSPECTION INC

Our experience was Senel was terrible.  Major issues with the home that we purchased were intentionally left off of our report and only minor repairs were noted.  When we moved into our home and discovered the water heater was non-operational we had a plumber come out who identified multiple issues with the pipes and notified us that there were many code violations with the wiring.  After having multiple electricians out, who showed us photos from under the house that were omitted from our inspection report, we discovered that not only did the entire house need to be re-wired but that the wrong type of breaker box was installed and needed to be replaced.  The entire ordeal has cost us over $6000 and we have yet to receive any response back from the owner whom we have contacted multiple times.  On your payment form with them, you will notice that you sign a liability agree that limits Senel's liability (for omissions or errors on your inspection report) to the cost of the inspection.  This company has bad ethics, their inspector Omar is either a terrible inspector or is working with agents to push sales through.  Please do not make the same mistake that we did.  Find another inspection company.

He was on time. The inspection went well. He reviewed the results after he was done. However, I have some reservations. I read that a thorough inspection takes 2 to 3 hours, and he was done in 1 and a half hours. He didn't discuss the inspection until it was over so I had no opportunity to ask questions as he was inspecting. The report was delivered in triplicate the next working day. I didn't need it that fast, but I am sure I was charged for the quick delivery. The report was very generic. For example, not one word in the roofing section dealt with the condition of my roof. The roofing section just had a few paragraphs about roofs in general. Recommendations did not say which were required and which were just nice to have.
