Purcell's Custom Painting

John Purcell was part of the package provided by the Contractor we hired to 'update' both homes.  He was very conscientious about completing the work to our satisfaction.  His suggestions were so helpful in every area, and for each of our choices.
He always arrived at a reasonable time, and if he had to change plans he gave us plenty of notice.  When they were through for the day,  John and his crew would neatly set aside their equipment.  They also took care to protect flooring and other surfaces that were exposed to possible drips.
As I stated above, John's attention to the 'preparation' of surfaces is above and beyond the call of duty and the results are phenomenal!  Whenever we  recommend him, we refer to him as "The Magic Painter".
We delayed writing this review because we worried that he might become so popular that he might not have 'time' for us, and we also wanted to see if the quality of his work would last.  It HAS stood the test of time..... Both of the homes still look NEW.  Do not hesitate to call John if you want quality workmanship, and you would also like to have a little 'Magic' in your life!

We got a recommendation for Purcell's Custom Painting from a friend at church. I did not know John Purcell before, but I would say his work is excellent. Our house had a lot of work to be done on the exterior. It is a two-story Tudor house, so it has half-timbers and a detached wood garage door that I wanted a certain paint design on it done. The biggest part of a good paint job is the preparation and John and two other experience painters took close to two weeks preparing the exterior of the house. They put two coats of paint on the stucco (Behr color "Fair Winds") and at least two coats on the trim (Behr color "Willow Wood", semi gloss). I'm please with the colors. Needless to say, I'm very pleased with his work and we plan to hire John again for the interior when we are ready. He's a little expensive, but I put "A" because of his quality or work. He works all over this area and has done jobs in Palm Desert and Newport Beach as well as San Gabriel Valley.
