Ken went to my mother's house to fix her dryer that was not blowing any hot air. Ken too the time to explain to my mother the education behind the dryer and gave us Crand eacute;dit for the parts that were covered by warenty. I was very thankful cuz we saved our self alot of money cuz my mom wanted to buy a new dryer. Thanks Ken

Ken Inman, the franchise owner of the Mr. Appliance store in Glendora charged me $65 to diagnose the problem with my Dacor outdoor grill. He called Dacor to explain the problem. Dacor told him the thermocouple was bad and needed to be replaced. It seemed to me that Ken was not a very knowledagle repairman, since all he did was explain the problem to Dacor and they told him what part needed to be replaced. I feel a knowledgable appliance repairman would have know this without calling Dacor. I could have called Dacor and saved myself the $65 service call. If the grill would have been fixed after this call, then Ken would have recieved a good review. Unfortunatley, that was not the case.
Ken ordered the part from Coast Appliance in El Monte.
He never followed up with me to tell me when the part would arrive. I contacted him via email a couple of weeks later asking him what the status of the part was. I asked him to call Coast, but he said he didn't need to call them since he ordered the part and that they told him they would get the part when he placed the order. Several weeks passed by and Ken still did not contact me. I then emailed Ken again about a month after the initial service call, asking him what the status of the part was. He responded by saying, well since Coast hasn't contacted him, maybe they can't get the part. He never contacted Coast Appliance. I then contacted Coast directly, gave them the part number and asked them if they could get the part. They said the part was no longer available.
Ken is not a responsive service repairman. If you decide to use him, you will need to followup with him to make sure he does his job. I will not be using Ken again in the future due to his lack of knowledge and more importantly lack of followup.
