I had an appointment for an estimate to repair a leaky roof. No one showed up or called. I tried to call and left a voice mail but no one responded.

Gary and his crew did an outstanding job in repairing our patio roof. Quality workmanship is their standard.

I recommend them highly. They did a great job. He is booked constantly with the rain we have been having so people love him. At the time, because he said that the materials were going to go up and they did. He was real nice because he gave us the original contract that we agreed on because it was a few months that he started doing other peoples work and I didn't get him in time so it was months down the road. The materials went up because of the rain and the material places were raising the prices.

He is an honorable man! He stripped our roof down all the way down and did exactly what we wanted and more. Great employees, very clean and picked up very well. Great guy!

Gary Dowd was professional, timely and great to deal with. I had two major leaks in my roof. One on my house and one on my garage. Gary came out to look at it the week I called him, and the repairs were complete by the next week. I would definitely recommend Dowd Roofing.

This company is the most honest company I every deal with.  He checked my roof and told my that I could do the repair my self.  He took the time to show my son where the leak was most likely come from.  He told me if that  if the leak continues to call him.   MY son went on the roof and repaired the leak. So far to good.   I know who I am calling when I need a new roof.    Laddies this is the company to call when you need  a roof. .

Gary was polite and professional.  He was on time for our meeting to look at our roof to provide an estimate.  He was very detailed and gave clear explanation and recommendation.  
After considering two other roofing companies I went with Gary.  He had a top notch crew who were thorough and meticulous. They sealed the external HVAC vent that leads to that section with a recommendation to have it sealed on a regular basis to prevent future leaks.  They noticed a section of overhang that needed particular attention.  They created a unique method to seal the area to ensure that water runoff would cause damage.  They also recommended that the skylight be pulled and replaced due to rot and improper installation.  The additional cost was solely the cost of the new skylight.  How cool is that ?
We have had heavy rains since the roof installation.  Not one drip has entered the family room or leaked onto the patio.
I referred him to my friend / neighbor next door for their entire roof.  He did a GREAT job for them as well.

We  had a very large Canary Island Pine which dropped needles onto my roof and then they would get under the shingles.  I had the tree removed and called Dowd to come out and inspect my roof to see if there was any damage done by the needles.  He was there within a couple of hours, went up and checked the entire area, and said my roof was good for another couple of decades.

If I ever need to have work on my roof done, I will definitely call Dowd and will refer them to all of my friends.

I would highly recommend Dowd Roofing.  His crews were on time, cleaned up afterwards and took pride in their work.  Gary took the time to help me select the right roof for my home taking into consideration, price, style, location and color.  The new roof is stunningly beautiful and the minor repairs look great too.  
I was impressed that many of his employees have worked for him for 10-15 years, they took pride in their workmanship.  If you are living in the house, the roofing process is messy, loud and can be overwhelming at times, working with Dowd Roofing alleviated many of the project's stressful parts.  Gary was always clear about each step and what was to be expected.

I found Gary Dowd, owner of roofing company on Angie List.  I paid $250 to Angie for a roof tune up.  Within a few days Gary came out to my home.  I asked Gary to let me know the condition of the roof because I had just purchased the house As-is -  Gary provided a bunch of photos of the existing roof, broken tiles everywhere, a disaster for sure.  Gary is the most NON-PUSHY contractor I've ever met and I have dealt with a bunch over the last 7 decades.  I requested a bid and told him I'd think about it.  Gary never called to bother me but i called him after checking with my contractor who is remodeling our home.  My contractor said that the bid was extremely fair priced because the roofing material Gary proposed was expensive and figured Gary margin of profit was skinny at best. I signed the contract and Gary said job would begin first week in October and it would take two days.  My home is 4 stories high.  I couldn't believe how the crew got that old roof out and in trucks and hauled it away in half day. Then a crane came out to load the material.  It was a sight to see.  The entire crew totally professional.  As promised Gary delivered the job right on time.  I'm too old to get on any roof much less a four story but my contractor was up there and said it was a fine-fine job.  I don't write reviews and I'm way late getting this one done but Gary deserves a fist full of stars for the job he did on my house.  I recommend him without reservation whatsoever. 

They contacted me within the two days as specified.  We scheduled and they were on time for the appointment.  They arrived and inspected my roof and advised that my roof was fine and didn't need any servicing at this time.  The also advised that I needed to contact Angie's List for my full refund.

They were very courteous, and very punctual. Also, they were very professional, so I was very happy about that. I plan to use them in the near future for an entire roof replacement.
