Carpet Installation
The job originally was supposed to take one day with a three-man crew. One guy didn't show, so a two-man crew worked 2 days to complete the job. Right before the work was supposed to start, the company rep called to say that when the large roll of one of the carpets was opened at the store to cut the portion for my job, the rep discovered that the color was off a bit compared to the sample. He said this happens sometimes, and asked me to go to the store to see the color and decide whether to continue with the job using that color, or order a different color or brand, which would delay things. I looked at the carpet at the store and compared it to the sample I had taken home. It was hard to know if the color would work without taking it home but that wasn't an option. Fortunately, it worked as well as the original color would have. The carpet was well installed except for one spot in the hallway where a seam is noticeable under certain lighting conditions.
