Sears

The cost of the service was more than I was expecting. The cost of the water heater was competitive, but when they came out to install, I ended up paying $300 more than I was quoted originally. The original quote was $670 for the water heater and about $350 more for the installation, but when the crew got out here, they told me that it would be another $300 for other stuff that I wasn't told about. So, what they quoted in the store was not representative of what the total cost was. They were here when they said they would be, and it was quick enough. I had bought a top brand water heater with a 15-year warranty. The crew told me that I would need an extra tank and that I would have to change the piping and stuff and that they would have to quote for Los Angeles, which has a different code from what Glendale has. I was not happy with that. They did a good job with the installation and I have no problem with that. I will have to think about using them in the future. I would use them again but I would be a lot more critical with every bit of the expense and know exactly what I am getting into.

We bought an extended three year warranty from Sears. Recently, my washer will not wash with the rinse on cold. When the machine is put on cold wash, the door locks up.
I have been contacting Sears. They have had mechanics out here several times and they will say that they won't do any work because I have to turn off the ice machine and move the fridge so they can get to the back corner.
I want a replacement of equal value since the machine is under warranty and they haven't been successful in repairing it.
Update: Since reporting this experience with Angie's List, Sears sent someone out to fix the issue.

They said they were going to deliver on Saturday and they never showed up.  I have tried to call them and I can't get ahold of them.
