I had a nightmare experience with ?RCBM General Contractors? and ?Mr. Canavati? (President of RCBM). He was hired to do a re-model of my home. I would like to tell everyone about my experience with RCBM and Richard Canavati (General Contractor). He promised a scope of work that was not preformed. His company did substandard work. His company did illegal work and put my family in danger. Mr. Canavati flat out lied to us! His company did faulty electrical, cabinet installation, plumbing, finishing carpentry and left the job without clean up. I have photos and proof of all of the above listed and will be happy to show you what I listed (e-mail me at [email protected]) This job was so bad that we filed a complaint with the California Contractors Board and they said they were filing charges against Mr. Canavati (Contractors case #SF2014-1926). We also went to state arbitration (Case #AS2014-355) and won a settlement. So far I have spent over $27,000 to fix RCBM?s work and I know we still have over $6,000 more to spend. This is in addition to the original $65,000 we paid him. .Some of the comments that have been made by other contractors: ?I?m sorry ?, ?He?s a hack? and ?Have you called the contractors board?? ?I? would never suggest using RCBM or working with Richard Canavati to any friends or family. I would not hire Mr. Canavati to replace a light bulb!
