Turns out there was some complication with the car - BMW 328i sport - and they needed to go through the back seat into the trunk to replace some mechanism (it wasn't the grocery bag). It took a little longer than I wished it did. They gave me a loaner for the time. Car was returned clean and in good working order.
Only real complaint is that when picking up the car after being informed that the car was ready - it took a long time for a person to help me and then an even longer time for my car to be brought up.
Overall not a bad experience - just plan for an hour to pick-up your car instead of 15 minutes.

My experience with the sales department and after sales service at pacific BMW was horrendous. They were very quick to sell me a certified pre owned car but when it came to doing promised repair and service work the following week, they kept delaying for 2 months. At one point they told me the car was ready and when I went to collect it, there were broken pieces of plastic sitting in the rear of the car that hadn't been fixed and grease marks in the interior of the car where they had done some work but left it incomplete. In addition, they told me they could not detect a problems with vibrations i felt in the steering wheel. 2 days after finally picking up the car, Beverly hills BMW had detected the problem and fixed it for 100 bucks. Vibrations gone. Of course, Pacific BMW told me that Beverly hills BMW just charged me for work that didn't need to be done. Would never recommend this dealership to anyone. Have never experienced such incompetence before - two months to take care of a few minor cosmetic issues is totally unacceptable.

I purchased my BMW from Pacific BMW in Glendale, CA a few years ago. The purchase process was okay although at the very end the sales guy tried to get another few hundred bucks from me after agreeing to a price. We verbally agreed on a price and then he brought the paperwork on which the price was different...pretty unethical and petty. So, the purchase process was okay, yet the nightmare began with the servicing of my car. My time was not valued by some of the service specialists. They wouldn't deliver on their time promises. In one instance they fixed my radio but ended up scratching my dashboard. In another instance they tried to fix a noise that was coming from the window area, only to make it worse. The most frustrating thing is that throughout the entire process is that the service specialists simply did not care about satisfying me, the customer, who along with all the other thousands of customers are the reason these guys have jobs. My hypothesis on why these guys don't care is because there is such as high demand to get cars from there and to get them serviced there simply because the dealership is in a good area that is convenient for people to get to. So, if they mistreat customer A, there is customer B, C, D, etc... waiting to get through the door. Having said this, losing customers one by one will hopefully one day result in management opening their eyes and saying "what's going on here?" and take the appropriate corrective steps. Until then I will stay away from Pacific BMW.
