Could not have been better. After calling around to multiple hardwood places, all of which had minimums around $1200, finding Gary was a godsend. He sent out one of his guys who was polite, efficient, and did a fantastic job. If you have a small patch of damaged hardwood and need a quick, fair repair, this is the guy.

Novotny's Refinishing refinished old wood floors in two bedrooms where we pulled up old carpet.  They made our old floors look beautiful, and worked hard to get a perfect match to the existing finish of adjacent flooring.  They patched an area of the older damaged hardwood and it looks perfectly matched with the existing wood.  We couldn't be happier, and definitely recommend them for any hardwood floor finishing needs.

They were referred to me. They have so many good selections of hardwood floors that I just asked him to pick one for me. The price was within my budget. He did work with me, I was going to just do a refinish but it ended up that the floor cannot be refinished so we have to lay a new one. He worked it out with me so we can get the majority of the house with the hardwood and then I ended up doing carpet in the bedroom.  Everything looks great and hopefully it still does. I just think the price is a little high. I can't really say because I didn't get bids from other companies. It seems like a lot but I still went with it thinking I looking at refinishing the floors. The quality of the floor is great and it’s really well so he did a great job in selection. There was 1 piece I asked him to do at the front door threshold and I ended up having somebody else to come in and fix it because the rubber came off. It was one of those pieces where he said they don't know how to do that piece. I'm gonna use them again in the future for a refinishing job because it seems to be their forte.

After several decades of use, our oak staircase and hallway were in poor condition.  In certain areas, the finish was completely gone and there were gouges in the wood.  Gary's team refinished the entire area in less than a week, and it looks brand new!  Their work was meticulous and they did an excellent job of keeping dust out of the rest of our home.  They even went the extra mile by putting a coat of matching stain on a new stair rail that I had bought but not yet installed.
We also had them sand and refinish our badly damaged wooden garage door and it looks 100% better. 
We were very happy with every aspect of the job, and Gary's team was very easy to work with, reliable, and respectful.  The work was completed when promised (well, one day late because of rain) and for the exact amount of the estimate--no surprises.  It wasn't the cheapest estimate we received, but we felt confident that Gary 'knew his stuff' better than the others we met, and we weren't let down.

He arrived when he said, performed a thorough and excellent floor refinishing and finished on time.
