Bad. Snaking and garbage disposal seemed to come off without a hitch, but he made my toilet leak worse. Young, clean looking guy but I wasn't getting their most experienced plumber I'm sure. They sent the same guy back out on my worsening toilet leak. After looking at my toilet again, he stepped into the hall to speak privately to the company, came back in, and TRIED TO SELL ME A NEW TOILET. I instead hired a different plumber. This guy found liner debris from the hose underneath the cap of the flusher which was preventing it from stopping. Emailed Mauerhan a few times over the course of a couple of weeks requesting a partial refund. Each time the email bounced back to me. Why even have an email address? Finally printed out my email and mailed it to Mauerhan but they never responded. Buyer beware.

Drain pipe leaking on ceiling. One guy came to find out cause of problem. it looked like the ceiling was going to be cut. 2 workers came few days later to do the work. Lucky, there was a false ceiling already there, so no cutting of ceiling was required.They did a good job and were professional, but when I got the bill I was charged 15 minutes more for the two-people charge, and a 20 minutes more for the first guy that first inspected place. I called their office, and the lady answering said  "charge starts when the employee leaves their office", I'm not sure what type of company charges like that...
This is the second time being overcharged. The first time, i complained about being billed  more time that actual, and I got some money back.
Their quality of work is good but not their billing of working hours. If you hire them keep a close eye on their working time.

we have been using Mauerhan pluming as our go to plumbers for some time now as they are  and have been very professional and trustworthy. Recently we had water leaking from our bathroom floors, I called them and as always they showed up within the hour  .. they had to make holes in the bathrooms wall to be able to access the damaged pipes and they repaired them back to their original state.

Talk about being overcharged - almost to the double point!
When I called to set up the appointment, they informed me that they would charge: 
$90 per hour + $15 truck charge + extra materials & equipment.
I informed them I had an Angie's List discount of $10. So I was expecting a bill of $90+15-10=$95 for an hour's work snaking a drain.
I remember asking what the equipment charge would be and I was informed it would only be added if they had to use some special equipment.  Now be aware that I told them they were coming to snake a drain and they said that it would only be special charges if they needed to get the heavy duty stuff to get at the central line. 
I had asked my tenant to monitor the time since they charge by the hour. He did and emailed me immediately after the plumber left telling me it had been almost exactly an hour. I have his time-stamped email to verify the point. 
Imagine my surprise when they presented a bill of $181.30!!!  
First - the guy had charged for 1.5 hours, when he only worked for 1 hour. In fact their own "truck tracking" system - when they read it out to me on the phone had him time stamped getting to my place at 11:33 a.m. and then the truck leaving at 12:32 p.m. i.e. 59 mins. I was informed that it had taken him 10 mins to GET to my place, and so that had put it over the hour mark.  After arguing the point, they agreed to delete the $45 charge.
There was a $14.95 charge for a part he put in (the stopper) - and that is valid. So no argument there.
Then although they took $10 off for Angie's list, they added back $15 for "equipment" charges. When I asked them what the equipment was - they told me it was because he used a snake!  The guy was coming to snake the drain. OF COURSE he would use a snake!  
Basically they would not reduce that charge. After some arguing back and forth on all of it, and the customer service folks acting as if they were doing me a BIG favor, they charged me $125 (basically taking off the $45 half hour I should NOT have been charged for in the first place). They did not take off the equipment charge. 
This is a scam. To quote what looks like a "low" rate of $90 per hour - and then keep piling on various charges so you end up at a much higher figure.  Needless to say, I will not use this company again. I'm surprised they didn't charge me for the wrench he must have also had to use in the repair!

When I booked the appointment, the woman I talked to at their offices was warm, friendly and very helpful.  They showed up promptly in the window of time promised.  Ron was my plumber and he was professional, focused, efficient but also very personable and helpful in answering my questions and giving me good information to maintain our plumbing.  I felt completely comfortable having him working on the premises.   I've used this company a few times over the last 5 years, and although you don't want to have to call a plumber, when you need one, call these guys, the service was great.

Very professional and prompt service.  I have been a long time customer.  I highly recommend them.   

During a family visit a few days later, it was brought to my attention that the toilet lid did not fit properly as one of the children was sliding small items into the tank. I contacted Mauerhan who informed me that there would be no charge if it was due to faulty installation. However, if the installation was deemed sound there may be a charge. I told them that the lid fit properly prior to them removing the toilet to snake the drain and I would like it fixed at no charge. The owner came out personally to check the installation and deemed it sound. However, he was able to move the toilet tank away from the wall (without reinstalling the toilet) and insert a plastic piece allowing the tank lid to fit properly. He told me there was a possibility that the tank could leak and to check it periodically.  He said if it did start to leak, they would have to replace the tank since it was original to the complex. There was no charge.

Eddie and Jonathan installed drop-in acrylic soak tub including setting it in mortar base plus installed toilet (they didn't have to but they installed new toilet floor bolts), installed drop in sink, installed valves on sink, installed trim and showerhead in shower, installed trim and spout for tub. Finished in 7 1/2 hours. The best thing is that they did all this on very short notice. I had fired my previous plumber on Wednesday and these guys finished up on Friday. These guys are life savers. They have a very good attitude, do good work and their price is very reasonable. Eddie made sure that even though I wanted to push the tub as far to the left as possible that the threaded fitting for the overflow would jam up against the tub framing and would not be serviceable in the future. Eddie made the install work, look good and also perform as intended. He impressed me as a very knowledgeable and capable guy.

They came out the same day.  They were prompt and courteous.  The prices are reasonable.  I use them regularly since I'm happy with the service.

I use them all the time and they are fabulous. They are very dependable and do good work. They are not a rip-off and don't price gouge. They are nice people. They are a bunch of nice guys and they are terrific. I will not use anybody else but them.

The actual quality of the work was perfectly fine; no complaints. The plumbers arrived on time, and the estimates were all accurate. The only reason I gave them a B on "Responsiveness" was that when we first had them come in March and install the piping for the dishwasher, the plumber who did the job didn't mention we would also need an air gap. When we found out (from talking to the appliance salesman), we had to make a separate appointment to have them come back and put in the air gap. This did not affect the price; it would have cost the same either way. But it was a bit annoying to have to have two plumbing appointments. Overall, still an A, and I would use them again.

I have known them for years. They have been around for three generations. They are usually able to get someone out to you as soon as possible when you call them for urgent plumbing issues. They know what they are doing. The administration and receptionist are good. The receptionist has one of the best phone manners ever. They are on time and explain everything that they are doing. They get your approval first and give you the options available. The work is done on time and they keep you fully informed. The house is clean when they leave. Their price is fair.
