I was looking for a gift and I was given many great suggestions.  I bought a crystal picture frame that I was proud to give to my friend.

Pretty simple. I showed them a picture of a tea set I wanted to sell. They said they were interested, so I brought the set in and they paid me cash for it.

I called Friday afternoon (Dec.. 10). I was told to come in on Sat. morning and they would appraise my silverware. I arrived right after the store opened, rang the bell and was let in. The owner of the store immediately looked at the silverware. Since it was very old and the manufacturer was not in business he weighed all the sterling and gave me an appraisal. I was given 3 values--scrap value, price that I might sell it for and High end retail which also might be insurance value. Both the owner and his wife were very gracious and we had a great conversation while the appraisal was going on. And there was no charge for the appraisal.

I love the fact the owner is old school in how he likes to explain exactly what he's doing and likes to educate his customer on the history of their items. His approach to customer service goes a long way to making the customer feel they won't be taken advantage of.
