I inquired about service via email and received a prompt reply. After I provided more details about the problem, they called me to confirm the appointment time. Not only did he arrive within an hour of the appointment window, but he finished in less than 30 minutes. George had a Whirlpool door switch in his tool bag, so he was able to replace the faulty after-market switch that had been installed last year. As we finished up with payment, he had the dryer running to make sure that I just needed a new door switch. He was professional, friendly, and efficient.

This started out as a negative review, but within an hour of posting, the owner of the business was at my door to apologize for the lack of service I'd originally received, and right the ship. MY OVEN WASN'T WORKING. I contacted G&R based on great reviews of the company and its owner, George. A technician with another company's logo on his truck arrived well within the appointment window and was extremely courteous. However, after I demonstrated the issue with the oven, he did not take it apart to examine anything, but still made the diagnosis that it was the control panel. He made a call to a parts supplier and informed me the parts were no longer available, end of story. That'll be $45. WHEN I ORIGINALLY CONTACTED G&R, I gave them the make and model number of the oven, with a detailed description of the issue. I didn't like that a subcontractor was dispatched without informing me, but that's common in that industry in Los Angeles. I was also a little miffed that they could have checked in advance on parts availability and counseled me on the likelihood of being able to make repairs, and given me the option of not bothering with the service call and the $45 fee, but that didn't happen. AFTER MY ORIGINAL POST, George called within an hour, leaving a message that showed his professionalism and dedication to providing excellent service and maintaining his reputation. To prove that, he arrived at my house shortly after to personally assess the situation. He dismantled the oven's control panel and made a diagnosis. He acknowledged that the parts are indeed not available from the original manufacturer, but would check all available resources to locate suitable replacements. He further vowed to train his subcontractor to operate to his own level of professionalism. IN THE END, even if George is unable to locate the parts and complete repairs, I will still use him for future needs and refer him to others. He understands the value of customer service and the importance of customer satisfaction.

These guys were amazing.  Our freezer conked out the Saturday before Christmas and they came within 1 hour of my call on Saturday evening.  After ordering parts they were back late Tuesday evening and stayed late making sure everything was working.  They even replaced the circuit board just to be sure everything worked properly.  I can't recommend a vendor more highly.

I remember thinking it wasn't enough money to pay him, that I actually called him back and said, "Wait, did I write the check for the right amount? Are you sure that was only $80?" And he said yes. It was $80 for both the part and labor done. He spent a good amount of time here and made sure that we wanted the old part that he installed, and did a good job. I thought I was going to have to replace my dryer but he came and took a look at it and replaced the part. If you want an honest price that isn't going to rip you off and is going to tell you if something can be fixed or not, have it fixed by G and R. And I appreciate that he's young and working that hard.

I think it was a Saturday and he came out just to deliver the part for the dryer. There was no delivery fee. We asked him to look at the oven when he was here and he fixed it, gave us a discount and it was fabulous. He was very efficient, he worked fast, explained every step that he was doing and what was going on with the oven, why it wasn't working, and even took a look at the burners on top, and told us how to clean them in case we were having trouble with them - which we didn't even say we were having trouble with. He came out with the part and said that he would install it for free if we couldn't figure out how to do it. Just very efficient, very polite, made sure everything was clean and put back together right before he left and an all around nice guy. He's nice and reasonably priced. It's a younger guy that's very hard working and I admire that.
