This company is by far the worst company on the face of the planet! They are very dishonest, they will over inflate their prices to make you think you're getting a substantial discount just so you can do business with them. They will keep your $1000,00 deposit even after you cancel with them. Then when you fight to get your money back and make a complaint against them to the BBB, they will lie and cheat and falsify documents you didn't sign, and then when you call them on their deceit they sends in a different document. Apparently this company is hard up for money that they will still your deposit even after canceling with them even after never performing any work in your home! I will go to every news outlet to put this company on record that they are stealing your hard earn money out here without performing any work in your home people. If you don't believe me. Read their reviews the bad reviews are the people you should listen to, everyone is not telling the same lie. Next step... going to every news channel who will listen and provide them with the falsified documents they tried to say I signed and how they refused to refund my $1000.00 deposit even after I cancelled and no work was performed!!!! See attachments that I canceled prior to the January 29, 2024 period they specified. I cancelled on January 27, 2024 and they still kept my deposit and no work was performed in my home! This company is very dishonest and here are the documents to prove it. First document they presented to the BBB I didn't sign but they presented it as if I did. Then when I reported to the BBB that I did not sign that document they sent this second document with words removed from the document. As you can see in the text message this project was cancelled on January 27, 2024 in writing. Count your days Carpet Wagon DBA Payless Kitchen Cabinets!!! They are not a good company to do business with. They are not trustworthy and they will keep your $1000,00 deposit even after you have cancelled. No work was done on my property yet they kept my deposit after I cancelled the project. The pictures speak for themselves!

Carlos and Avo did a great job. This was a major undertaking and it went very smoothly with very few problems. Any problems that did arise were taken care of in a timely matter. The house looked beautiful when they got finished and we were delighted with the craftsmanship. I would recommend them to family and friends.

I recently got carpet installed in my three bedrooms, I had been shopping around and came across these guys. I went and visited their showroom in Glendale and had an excellent experience, they helped me find the carpet I like at the right price, then sent the installers who did a great job first time out. I highly recommend them. Will use again.

Delivery dates never were accurate. Follow up never happened unless it was us calling Carpet Wagon. Reasons were never given or even discussed on WHY DATES WERE CHANGING EVERY WEEK. Even the day we called to hear them say on 8/21 the carpet remnant is here in our facility READY & COMPLETED..... resulted in them saying you cannot come get it today it must be tomorrow 8/22. IRONICALLY..............on the wall above the desks was a quote from VINCE LOMBARDI....WHAT IT TAKES TO BE # 1 poor customer servicepoor follow up on all detailsno explanations given for delivery date changes over & overno acknowledgement of poor performance by their CompanyJUST KEPT LEADING US ON.....over & over Delivery of a remnant took from June 2nd to August 22nd.................. I don't want another elderly person to go through what I experienced with this Company and if I can save one person from that type of customer service I will. That is WHY....I JUST JOINED ANGIE'S LIST...............to prevent this from happening to anyone else.DOROTHY GUTHRIE placed order & paid for carpetsJune Guthrie Brennan daughter picked up and actually had to drive 300 miles to Bakersfield to deliver due to Carpet Wagon's delays.
Description of Work: Ordered carpet from store: one 8 ft round carpet to be bound and remnant to be kept as size " AS IS " and bound as well since remnant was going into the foyer and did not need to be any particular size. Ordered and paid for on 6/2/2012 and service was to be completed in 2 weeks since my 80 yr old Mother was moving to Bakersfield on 6/30/12. Did place order. Offered many samples and discussed many options at time of sales order.Time frame for completion was made very clear with note of customer moving 300 miles away at end of month.Customer was told by Salesman order could be completed within the necessary time frame. Delivery date kept changing over and over. Delayed several times ( more than 10 different dates and times ) Customer was advised that due to remnant having to be bound was reasoning for delays of delivery. Customer having to call over and over since delivery date was set and NOBODY SHOWED UP AT ALL......new date was set and again NOBODY SHOWED UP AT ALL....Especially the last week of the month: Going to be delivered on Monday 6/25 nothing arrived, then Tues 6/26 nothing arrived, then another call saying it would be delivered WED 6/26 but my Mother had doctor appointment so requested delivery after 1:00pm......nothing arrived. Then again Thurs 6/28 nothing arrived. We called again on Friday morning 6/29 and they said it would be delivered BEFORE 5:00pm....we advised them that Saturday morning she was moving to Bakersfield ( 300 miles away ). We were told do not worry it would be there before 5:00pm. Nothing arrived, then suddenly at 10:00pm the door bell rang and the carpet was delivered. At 10:00 pm on Friday night...my 80 year old Mother had to answer her door for a carpet delivery. Saturday the move and we unrolled the carpet on Sunday 7/1/12 to find the 8 ft round was bound and beautiful but THE REMNANT HAD A RAW EDGE ALONG ONE ENTIRE SIDE AND WAS NOT BOUND AT ALL ! ! ! The work that Carpet Wagon said was delaying the delivery for over 10 days had not even been done. SATURDAY 7/14/12 my daughter took the remnant back to Torrance Carpet Wagon facility to Kent Childs and explained what had happened with the changing delivery dates, unbound remnant. He took it personally saying NO SIZE was noted and that was why the remnant was not bound. She asked him to note that the rug was going into the foyer and did not need to be a specific size such as 4x6 or 5x7. We just needed the raw edge cut by 2 inches and the entire rug to be bound. He said he would note that and it would take some time to accomplish this task. We said that was fine. FRIDAY 7/20 my daughter called Kent again just asking if there was any delivery date yet. Kent said there was a question as to WHAT SPECIFIC SIZE the remnant was going to be in finished state. AGAIN she explained rug was for foyer and no specific size needed just cut off 2 inches on raw edge and bind it. THURSDAY 7/26 daughter left message. FRIDAY 7/27 daughter called to follow up...... Kent advised that it was not completed yet and he would call upon completion. THURSDAY 8/9 daughter called CORPORATE GLENDALE OFFICE since that is where binding was taking place ( I thought ) asking if remnant was ready yet? Warehouse Manager Carlos could not locate rug at all and would call Torrance facility and get back to her. FRIDAY 8/10 Whse Mgr called advising that remnant had never been shipped from Torrance to Glendale for the work necessary. They would transfer the rug and call when completed. TUESDAY 8/14 daughter called Glendale facility to ASSURE remnant was INDEED SHIPPED to Glendale facility as promised. Whse Mgr responded, yes they did receive it and remnant was at binding facility now. They expected it to be completed on Sat 8/18 SAT 8/18 daughter called Whse Mgr to follow up. Carlos advised that remnant was going to be delivered to MY HOUSE address not the Torrance Carpet Wagon facility on Monday. CARLOS said he would call with a basic time window of arrival on Monday 8/20.MONDAY 8/20 nothing delivered and no calls at all. TUES 8/21 9:25 am Daughter called Carlos asking about carpet again. HE NEVER GAVE ANY EXPLANATION ON WHY THEY DID NOT DELIVER ON MONDAY AS PROMISED...JUST IGNORED THAT TOPIC COMPLETELY..... Carlos said "Yes the carpet is now in the Glendale facility." Then he asked "WHAT SIZE WAS THIS SUPPOSE TO BE WHEN COMPLETED?" Again, my daughter calmly explained that it was not to be a specific size since it was going into the foyer. They were just suppose to cut off the raw edge by 2 inches and bind the entire remnant. His response was " OH GOOD BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THEY DID." Well now I have to check out schedule to find someone available to make the deliveries......... So my daughter said, why don't I just come and pick it up myself Carlos? At this point, we just could not believe any delivery date they quoted as accurate. "YOU ARE GOING TO DRIVE ALL THE WAY UP TO GLENDALE?" was his response. My daughter told him:Carlos.....I have to drive to Bakersfield to deliver the remnant to my Mother's new house so I might as well pick it up today on the way. Carlos replied " WELL THEN YOU CAN PICK IT UP .....TOMORROW AND IT MUST BE AFTER 11:00am because we deal with all our installers and are busy until then." ON 8/22 Wednesday after 12:00, my daughter was able to pick up the remnant and of course CARLOS was not in the office when she arrived. ORDER PLACED ON 6/2/12 and was finished on 8/22/12 ORDER FOR: DOROTHY GUTHRIE

THEY WERE NOT VERY RESPONSIVE, NOT AT ALL PROFESSIONAL, THEY COST ME AN EXTRA FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR BREAKING MY SECURITY SYSTEM, THEY LEFT AN INCH STRIP BETWEEN MY WASHER AND DRIER THAT SHOWED JUST FLOOR , AND AROUND THE BASE BOARDS A QUARTER INCH STRIP SHOWED JUST FLOOR THAT THEY DIDN'T MEASURE CORRECTLY. I CALLED THEM TO COMPLAIN, AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND THEM OUT TO LOOK AT IT AND THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. AND THEN I REPORTED THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THE SERVICE LIED AND SAID THEY COMPLETED THE REPAIRS.

I called the next day and they said someone would come out. They never did. I waited 2 weeks and called again and they said someone would come. Another month went by with nobody, so I called again. This fiasco went on from the install in July until Sept. when I finally called the BBB and reported them. They then lied to the BBB and said they had fixed the problem. I called again in Oct. and they said someone would be out, but they never came. I took a day off of work each time they set an appointment and then they didn't show up or call. It took until March and a manager finally came out. He said they would fix it. Another month went by and nobody. I finally got them to fix it in April. This was horrible. I would never recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Carpet Wagon came out and installed Pergo wood flooring in my kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and hallway. It took a year to get this project completed. I stopped into their store and made an appointment for them to come out. The product was delivered, but they did not show up on the scheduled day nor did they call. I called again and made another appointment. They came, but did not show until noon or start working until 1:00. Therefore, didn't finish until midnight. That night, the floor looked horrible. The boards were wrong and the glue was coming out. It looked like I had done it, not knowing what I would be doing. It didn't look like a professional did it at all. There were gaps and spaces between the walls and the floor and between the molding.

The tile was fine and the installers were good but the company ordered the wrong type of floor and only partially finished. They lied about ordering more flooring for us because we never saw it. They never completed the edge of the floors to make them even and it took them about three times longer than what it should have to get the rest of the parts and to finish.
Description of Work: They installed hardwood and tile floors in our entry way, hallway, dining room, family room and kitchen.

Mike, the estimator, "miscalculated" his measurements. As a result, the company wanted another $1400 to complete the work. Also, the floor crew was (incorrectly) told that we would put the molding on. The company wanted another $500 to complete the job. Mike promised a floor plan, which he never gave us. Clearly, he was pulling a bait & switch routine, in order to increase the costs. We had to haggle back and forth with him and Dominic to lower the charges incurred for THEIR ERRORS. A terribly stressful experience. I have no confidence in these people at all. In the end, we still had to pay $1400 more than was estimated. Bad, bad experience.
Description of Work: Lay approximately 2500 square feet of carpeting; lay flooring and molding in 3 bathrooms.

The carpet quality and installation was fine. However, the installation was delayed because the team showed up with the wrong padding and I had to reschedule. Both times they came several hours late; in fact the installation that was supposed to take place around 3 p.m. on the final installation day did not take place until well after 7 p.m.

I THINK THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB OTHER THAN INSTALLING THE TOILET BECAUSE IT HAD A SLOW LEAK. I HAD TO BRING MY PLUMBER IN TO FIX IT. THEY WORKED FAST. THEY GOT OUT THE OLD ORIGINAL FLOOR TILES QUITE EASILY, AND IT JUST LOOKS SO MUCH NICER.

THEY WERE PROS. THEY WERE IN AND OUT QUICKLY. THEY CHARGE A FEW MORE DOLLARS TO MOVE YOUR FURNITURE, BUT THAT WAS OK. WE DID IT OURSELVES. THEY WERE VERY POLITE. THEY WERE VERY BUSINESSLIKE IN THE WAY THEY CARRY THEMSELVES. THEY CLEANED UP BEHIND THEMSELVES VERY WELL AFTER THE JOB WAS FINISHED.
